Pillaging gets much more fun, once your able to train spies, then you can find out if its possibly worth it.

No, if your warehouse covers all of your resources, they're untouchable.

The Warehouse only protects a small fraction of your goods. Upgrading it will protect more goods while expanding your overall capacity at the same time, you will always have unprotected goods.

I have lost too many damn spies. I send out a spy and over 3/4 of the time they are discovered as soon as they enter the village, I don't even get a chance to send them on a mission.

The larger the city, the less chance of getting caught. Stop spying on those level 1 towns

I only send spies if detection is <40%

The percentage of unprotected goods will always be a low amount. It's a shame, and I think it should be a much higher number, my warehouse is a level 4, and still only protects up to 380 wood, and 190 luxury resources. Total capacity is 6,336|2,352.

they were level 2

, but I haven't sent a spy out except for one time when detection was >40%

You really dont need to spy on a level 2 town. Just do the pre-planning (casing their workers on the sawmill / luxury) and invade them with 10-15 slingers if they look ripe and you should come out on top.

Yes, it sounds liek hes a level 1 Trade Port. If thats the case, stagger your slingers in waves.

Example:

Send Wave 1 out.
25 minutes later (or however long it takes to arrive + 5 min), send wave 2 out.

What will happen will be the first wave will pillage 200, then 5 minutes later you will pillage another 200 from him while wave 1 just returned to your town.

* Sulfur: 192

Third Wave

* Gold: 24

* Wine: 38

* Sulfur: 128

TOTAL:

* Gold: 70
* Building material: 1188
* Wine: 210
* Marble: 117
* Sulfur: 710

Problem is I only have 3 slingers as it is. Hah. I guess it's time to recruit some more.

Get 18 total and throw down waves of 6x3 or 9x2.
