here is a question i havent found a clear answer to... can i send a grp to pillage, then send another a minute later? or do i ahve to wait 20 min between pillages until team 1 is done/successful? im doing an overnight flood of pillaging to 3 neighbors that are slackers... no donations... one of em send me a hatemail after my first pillage, so i have done 6 pillages to him daily the past 2 days now (you would think he learned, but the first two pillages today yielded me 3 ships worth of loot

another question... how do people manage to pillage gold? i have the random 8 gold or so, but not over that ever... let alone 178 like above pic

It's random on how much gold you take.

You can't send armies a minute apart because it takes 20 minutes to pillage, so all you would be doing is reinforcing the current army that is pillaging. The reason why you wait 25 minutes is because your 2nd army will show up 5 minutes after the first army is done pillaging.

what's a good number of swordsmen and phalanx to have for a level 6 town do you think?

Use Phalanx only for defending. Swordsmen for attacking.

Make enough where you are going to make it costly on the attacker's end.

right now i think i'm gonna go with 5 each and 10-15 slingers. as I get more citizens in, I'll add more.

Those were not trades, they were Blockade fleet interceptions. Any incoming or outgoing trade ship attempting to pass through a blockade automatically gets re-routed to the Blockading town.

I read that some of you have pillaged inactive villages with NO losses. Do you need overwhelming forces, is their a minimum number of attackers to guarantee no losses?

I've attacked an inactive village on my island 3 times today. Each time I send in 3-4 slingers and have lost 1 slinger each time (for only 200 wood loot). No huge loss, but I'm not sure it's worth it when a slinger costs 40 wood and 1 citizen (the citizen is the biggest loss... I could have him out earning gold).

Its random, sometimes you'll lose 1 and if the town is completely defenseless, you might come out flawless.

the town I ransacked 3 times had NO army and NO wall. Sent 5 slingers the first time and didnt lose any, then sent 3 with no losses on the 2 other raids.

Do you need lots of blockading ships in order to get that many resources from blocking their harbor?
