How does one manage this? I am only ever able to send a single ship with a single pillage action.

I only send one ship to pillage, if the loot is big enough they call other ships which are there instantly.

I've only ever been able to get this to happen when attacking players on my own island. When I have to island hop, my ships won't automatically go out. Does anyone else notice this? Or am I cursed?

Re: Pillaging and Ships
I've been able to do this on a couple of occasions but it seems inconsistent. The last guy I pillaged only used up one ship. The guy before him would pull in 2-3 ships every time. Could it have something to do with the port level of the guy I'm pillaging?

Re: Pillaging and Ships
Yes, I believe that is the issue as I research this more. Many people set up colonies with high level ports to gt supplies fast, thus no military. You can get for from a higher level port . So for a level one port, you should chain-pillage.

You sir are correct. If the town your attacking has a trading port higher than level 1 and you have the ships available and they have more than 200 goods available it will pull extra ships

Send multiple waves. One pillage action, followed by another shortly thereafter
