scorefinder script makes spying near useless.

as per title.

It is sad, hell in fact it makes it totally useless since u can tell the cities military score and say if your score is 10k, and the other person is like 5k, u go and attack and u win.
Someone has said same thing about it on the forums here thats not really fair or something of that sort, now that I have used it myself, I do see why it not be.

Gold score makes 'spying the treasury' useless as well.

not really. spying the warehouse tells you if its worth it. can also find out if they have a wall at all.

also you would want to find out things like port level too to ensure your not coming back with a small basket of supplies.

And there's nothing unfair about it. I can find the players military score by going to high scores. The script just makes it more convenient and puts it all in one place.

Right, like AirTrans said, it convenient...but it's no unfair as you can already find those scores by using the High Score search.

Re: scorefinder script makes spying near useless.

I usually don't spy, but I mainly pick on the small guys with no military. I still can't figure out why guys build up to lvl 10 and higher cities and have no military to protect them. The cities I do spy on provide a good amount of info; port lvl, warehouse contents, and military based there. Its always nice to send just what is needed and not waste gold on sending a full force.

good thoughts all around .

military score zero, makes the city an easy target. The only way u should know if play has no military is through spying, thats what I was trying to say.

Are you saying in general (a flaw in the game) or this is because of the script?

As stated earlier, you can look the player up in the high scores sections.

Re: scorefinder script makes spying near useless.

The military score tell you the score of the military for the PLAYER, not the settlement.

If you have a military score of 300,000 and your colony has a level 1 wall, no barracks, no shipyard, no hideout, level 4 port, and level 10 city then you DESERVE to get hit regardless of how much your capital has 21 hours away.

Spies are still useful to clear up just how much of that military score is smoke and mirrors.

It's also very important to know if a town has 50 slingers and a level 4 wall versus no infantry but 20 balista ships guarding in port. You need to send vastly different forces if you want to win.

The script actually saves on spies. You only need to send a spy once you've found a juicy target by their score.

Re: scorefinder script makes spying near useless.

I pretty much agree with Turbinator. A military score shouldn't be available unless a spy is used. I agree that its a flaw in the game, not really sure why they included it, other than for those who get a rise from stats.

Re: scorefinder script makes spying near useless.

Spies are 10x as useful as the script. Why? Take my score for example. At current, I have a very wimpy 3962 mil score. However, unless you spy me out, you'd never know that ALL of that is at my capital and I have 0 defenses at my colony. You also wouldnt know that I have NO port at my colony, making a raid on it completely worthless. Spies give you QUALITY intel, not just basic crap.
