I deployed some ships and troops from one of my towns to a smaller one for defense while it was growing. Now I want to recall those deployed ships/troops to their original town but can't figure out any way to do it. When I try to deploy the troops back to the bigger town, I just get an error message :"Access denied".

Anyone tell me how to recall my troops? I could just dimsiss them but such a waste of resources.

Go to the island view of the city you want the troops to go to. Then switch the active city dropdown to the town you want them to come from. Select your city in the island view and you should have the option to deploy troops.
