Running out of action points when pillaging?
What does that mean exactly? I send a group of slingers out, and then another group a few seconds later so they can get away with the loot early, but it won't let me send a third group... how can I increase my action points?

Re: Running out of action points when pillaging?
You start out with 2 action points I believe, then your action points increase every 5 town hall upgrades. Action points are something the dev's implemented to cut down on mass pillaging and trading apparently, or they want to limit the number of things you can do at one time. Not to many people liked this change, I'm semi-use to it now.

Ahh, thanks. It makes sense, I'll just have to live with it until I move my capital and start fresh.

It's a work of the devil, the devil I tell you! Back in my day, we could have 25-30 armies in the field, plundering, drinking, and blockading.
Now days, I'm hard pressed to loot fast enough to support my army...Farkarian

Re: Running out of action points when pillaging?
None of my looting has really been worth it, except perhaps to slowly pile up materials I can't mine yet. Although I haven't been playing that long, so hopefully that will change.

Re: Running out of action points when pillaging?
Yeah, I am used to it. I have 3 towns and a total of 11 points I think, so I send off pillaging parties from all three towns.

Re: Running out of action points when pillaging?
Some reason I used all the action points in my capital to pillage and it used all of my action points on my colonies as well. This sucks.

The hungry, ignorant man immediately grasps that he is handed a fish, but is bewildered when handed a net. The man who shivers in the cold thinks happily of the man who invites him to sit by his fire, and somewhat poorly of the man who loans him an axe, flint and steel.

Re: Running out of action points when pillaging?
Having only 2 action points, it's not worth it to send a preliminary force to engage the enemy forces and a looting force behind it.
Now I'm sending my forces staggered so that one is sent out just as the other returns. I can't wait to upgrade my town hall to 5 so I can have 3 action points. Geez.

Apparently a bug, see this thread:

Re: Running out of action points when pillaging?
Anyone else notice the change in ap when shipping between colonies? Now when you ship from one colony to another, the sending colony uses an ap and the receiving colony uses an ap.
Is this a bug or a new fact of life in Ikairiam? Maybe to push you towards using the plus features??

Re: Running out of action points when pillaging?
Should be fixed now, according to anecdotal reports (my AP's are fixed too). http://board.ikariam.com/thread.php?...tuser=0&page=5
