Is a tax on Islands a good idea READ MORE FOR MORE INFO!!!

i sent a message to every person on my island that contained a letter with an idea and a vote that in a way to make our island wealtheir we would make a tax on the crystal mine

    basically this was it
I send these messages out not trying to be leader of the island, but to be a Friend and Future ally...To Better us all
This message is basically a vote. I believe we should all pay something of a tax on the island. just not to any one person but to the crystal mine. this will enable us to constantly upgrade our mine. So we may absorb the profits, crystal can go for a pretty penny on the trade market. this will enable us after a time to become a wealthier island. Also it brings us one step closer to being great allies wouldnt you feel greater knowing your whole island has your back if an attacker comes to pillage...

Send a message back saying either A,B,C,D, or No Tax

    (A) 50 wood per day
    (B) 75 wood per day
    (C) 25 wood per day
    (D) 125 wood every 3 days

Please reply back im hoping this can work to our advantage

basically im hoping this can work and im wondering what you think
also i have permanetly stopped everyone on my island from pillaging each other with a different letter and im hoping over time they will grow to be allies and work together

How have i acomplished this by not even being the strongest on my island im a lvl 6 and the highest is a lvl 8?

It should be based on a % of the workers in the mine. The ones who can afford to fill the mine can afford a larger wood contribution. Also, a flat rate like you suggested would be a drop in the barrel at higher levels

My suggestion would be 1/12th of a day's take. That would be 2 hours worth if the # of workers remained constant.

That definitely isn't too much to ask and it would have the mines growing quickly.

but then again i am basing it low right now because we have a few low levels but if they keep playing then it will eventualy raise right now its like 4000 for an upgrade every couple of days i put like 2k in just for fun

Wait until you get it up around level 10-ish and it's 20k+ wood to upgrade. Makes the 125/3 days tax null. You'd upgrade in about a month or two if you had a full island at that rate. Either way, you're never going to get everyone to participate. Those that want better resources will, those that dont care wont.

Yep yep... thats why I just transfer all of the wood from my other 3 colonies (I have 4, and upgrade the lowest level building) to one to upgrade that one quickly.

Usually 3k per colony:12k to upgrade, with support of the other on island (10:1 has a lot of TGU members who help participate in this)
