Citizen Satisfaction.
My folks are down to around 50, which is hovering at neutral, and not productive in the slightest.
I don't have a tavern or whatever, and I don't have museums researched yet. I actually stopped my research on professional army to research wine press. Is there a better way to go about making people happier? I don't have access to wine on any kind of reasonable and sustainable basis, but museums and holiday are WAY down on my list of research.

A tavern is a MUST. Also, researching cultural exchange is a great way to keep em happy. I have 2 colonies and about to open shop on the third in a couple days and all my people are euphoric.

Re: Citizen Satisfaction.
Wine and museums except for a few of the mid level technologies. You could always colonize. That will take some pressure off for the moment and give you access to more resources.
Ikariam Wars = Talus - Sulfur, Talanium - Marble, Talopolis - Wine, Talusgrad - Crystal, Talusberg - Wine.

Re: Citizen Satisfaction.
Even if you don't have wine to serve, each tavern level adds a base satisfaction lvl. Lvl 1 tavern is +12, lvl 2 + 24... so it's worthwhile even having a tavern without wine!
Just beware that if you do serve wine and run out, your satisfaction goes down to the base lvl and your people can get angry and start leaving your town.

Re: Citizen Satisfaction.
It's extremely diffuicult to keep a euphoric rating, as it needs to be 6 per hour. Once you get to the higher tavern, and town hall levels, its very tough.

Re: Citizen Satisfaction.
Nah, you can generally do it by having at least one wine colony on a high wine producing island and keeping your tavern level in line, if not one below, your town hall level.

Re: Citizen Satisfaction.
all my folks are happy. I could give a flip about em being euphoric. That just fills up the town hall faster and makes me upgrade faster to keep up. Sure I could let em sit at max capacity, but then what's the point of em being euphoric?

Yeah, My folks are happy in all three towns and I could care less if they are euphoric or not. Population gets too high, I institute a draft and increase my military...lol

Re: Citizen Satisfaction.
Well, I've colonized a nearby wine island, built my tavern, and my people are happy again. Inexplicably, my cash cow raid target has built up a small military. I sent him a nice note asking him to please fire them all so that I may resume raiding with impunity.
