Timer Utility works GREAT with Ikariam!
I've been looking for a free egg timer for a while now to help schedule my ikariam events, and a friend suggested this one:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/tea-timer/
Multiple timers will stay on top of your desktop with variable transparency, or you can just have it pop up when a timer runs out. Optional alarm for each.
