Re: Corruption incoming 4/28
Man, this means I'll need to upgrade my GR's before I do my palace, so they won't have corruption when I colonize again.

Re: Corruption incoming 4/28
It says .org worlds are going to have 20% corruption, but the .com worlds are going to have 10% corruption on the 28th and each week it will increase another 10% until it reaches 100% corruption.

Re: Corruption incoming 4/28
Yea, I like how they throw this in without fixing "governing"
I think with governing enabled gathering the resources wouldn't be too bad. Without it though, we must heavily pillage.
Maybe like real life, our stock is crashing, we should start a war so we can really pillage some guys into inactive and pay for our civil upgrades

Re: Corruption incoming 4/28
so if our palace's are at a level 3 and our GR's are at a level 2, we will still eventually have 100% corruption?
A captain of the most awesome IHS ever and remember to burn before you pillage.

Re: Corruption incoming 4/28
If your palace is level 3 and your GR's are level 2 you'll mitigate 2 levels of corruption from all 4 of your colonies.
Basically to remove corruption completely your GR needs to equal your palace's level for the number of cities you have.My sanity is not in question...

Better explanation found on the ikariam forums:

There is a confusion in terms of percentages here. When they said corruption would rise to 20%, they meant it would be 1/5th of the normal value. At the final 100% update that only means that corruption will not be reduced as before.
I have a capital plus two colonies for a total of three cities and I am preparing to found the third. Now when the update was introduced and I had no GRs, my corruption should have been 16% at full value. But due to the initial reductions it was only 1% actual. Now I have built my GRs to eliminate it entirely, but let's suppose I didn't. 1/5th of 16% is 3.2%, so for the coming update that will be the value. Still tiny. I am founding my third colony right now, with the potential for 23% corruption there. It will only be 4.6%! And that is only until I can get my GR up to speed there.
As you can see, we are still talking about tiny values here. If you're bold enough to expand to 7 colonies (8 cities) with no GR, you will see 51% corruption and when they jack it up to full values, you will certainly see a reduction in output. I believe the corruption directly indicates that hit so if your income should be 5k/hour then it will drop to under 2.5k/hour at 51% corruption.
Furthermore, the GR level only needs to be equal to the number of COLONIES you have, like the palace, so in a three-city empire, they only needed to be at level 2 to completely eliminate corruption. Of course this made you ready to found city #4 and there will be no corruption at all, except in the new one.Contact Me ~ CoD Contact an Admin Forum ~ CoD Rules & SOPs

Re: Corruption incoming 4/28
Yet another way to look at it is to look at your town hall. You'll see "corruption" field and two numbers. The first number is the current level of corruption (1% of actual) and the number in brackets is true corruption (100% of actual). That means that on the 28th we'll see corruption at 10% of what's enclosed and another 10% every week after that till the two are the same and I'd assume the prediction goes away.
