Many of us, I think, are located in the [60-80:70-90] neighborhood. I just relocated in there [Sitka, 69:82] so I could be in short shipping distance of some other TGA's.

If you have your palace built, you can colonize in this neighborhood, change your capital city, and gradually abandon your old colony. Done early on this is not a difficult thing to do and doesn't waste much in terms of resources.

Tradeships are available at all of your cities. Troops can be deployed to different city. Just go to the city you want them at, select show island, select the city you want them to come from in the drop down box, click on your city on the island then deploy troops.
