Well, his 20 Ballista Ships were toasted by my superior fleet!

No pending attacks at the moment. He has yet to respond to any attempt at diplomacy. We'll see how it goes in the morning.

On another note ... My troops are somehow attacking themselves!?

I'll have to fire their general in the morning!

Have no idea how that happened ...

My army continued the internal quarrel until the last man was dead even after I had fired them all. I'm currently rebuilding my ground troops and increasing my fleets.

No further aggression has been detected for now. Hopefully he is satisfied with losing (at the time of battle) half of his fleet.

I don't get it, my total score is higher than his, yet his cities are bigger than mine and his research is advanced all the way to gunpowder!? He doesn't have any thing above archers and ballistas though. Looking at all of his military, it seems he is more concerned with defense than offense. Perhaps he is primarily a merchant. Who knows, either he doesn't speak English or he just doesn't have the desire for diplomacy.

If you wish to negotiate a transfer of goods as a good will gesture - so be it. If you want to go 'Klingon' on his arse, once I am in the alliance (top name on the waiting list) I can send some aid/red shirts.

Wow! What's to tell the topic says it all...

Hiding!? Who's hiding? I made an attempt to handle this on my own. If he had simply responded, I wouldn't even have bothered posting...

The following is the content of the diplomatic messages I sent to him during his initiation of war on me upon his return from an inactive state. He never responded to any of them!

The first message was sent as an immediate response to him red-tagging me... I was active as soon as he committed.

All of this could have been avoided had he simply began or at least responded through diplomacy...

Like I said before, I run a massive salvage operation. It takes a lot of effort and expense to knock down their armies to allow for pillaging. If they are inactive in my area and have the goods, they will be pillaged. If they return with war in mind and fail to respond to diplomacy, then no further arrangements will be made.

My post here was to elicit a response from the guy, nothing more. I have yet to receive one. The choice of war is in his hands. For now, I guess we will wait and see...

If you need some 'red shirts' to sit in your towns for a day or two for defense, give me a shout out. My boys need some shore leave (once I am officially part of the TGA alliance...still on top of the list of those waiting to enter)

Thanks! At this time he is slowly building his military. He has about 100 ballistas and 25 or so flameships. I'm still holding naval superiority. He can't touch me at this point and when i feel the need... =)
