Re: Brand new player.
Greetings! Good luck getting established.
My advice -
1. Follow wiki to get your first colony up and running
2. Start looking for a new neighborhood (with other TG'ers) to plant a new primary colony
3. When able, build a palace and create a new colony
4. Relocate all goods, make new colony the capital and then delete the old colony

Re: Brand new player.
Welcome! Building your infrastructure slightly ahead of your population, keeping your port levels low, your spies high, and your military strong should keep you from having too much trouble from freeloaders... err salvage operators like myself.
But, if ever there is a problem... feel free to post! Most of us are looking for some excitement!

Re: Brand new player.
I have worked through the new players guide, and have started harvesting crystal. I have also gotten both greasemonkey scripts, but even if I import the latest Friends list, none of the URLs work properly.

Re: Brand new player.
Is it normal that when you build your first warehouse, it supplies you with 50 ea of the luxury goods?

Re: Brand new player.
I can't remember exactly. It seems as though I remember something like that happening but I'm not sure.

You need the newer friends list script. The one posted at the top is NOT the current one. It's located a few pages in I believe. Really confusing, I know. Can we get a mod to clean that up?

Re: Brand new player.
I have installed the second freinds list, the "alternate" one.
Imported this list http://www.tacticalgamer.com/984910-post99.html.
When I click on any person in it, it tries to send me to Ikariam world Beta. Is there a list for world Alpha?
EDIT: found the Alpha-modified version. It's here: http://www.tacticalgamer.com/953394-post49.html. It would be really useful if these two links were edited into the OP.
EDIT 2: The script in that post is no longer available. If anyone has the script hosted elsewhere, please link it.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT 3: Found the script for beta here: http://www.europeinruins.com/phil/Ik...ndList.user.js. Edited it to replace "s2.ikariam.com" with "s1.ikariam.com". Works like a charm.

Re: Brand new player.
Good job!
I haven't been using as of late, can you tell me if your current friends list setup causes some of the cost information for soldiers in the barracks to be misplaced on the screen?
When I used it last, this was the case for me.
Thanks!

Re: Brand new player.
Under the battle formation it shows my opponent has 3x ballista ships. However, on "1. Round" of combat, it shows he has "no units available", and yet, I still lost a ram and ballista. Does that mean that I sunk the enemy entirely?

Yes, when I queue troops, the ones further down the page get positioned oddly. In that case, I just deactivate greasemonkey and reload that page, set up my build order, and go back to town, and re-enable greasemonkey.
