Re: Trade Ships?
Just got 90. It's insane expensive now. Maybe I will hold off for a while. All my farms have disappeared regardless.

Re: Trade Ships?
What's the point of trade ships anyway? I thought you could send them on trade missions but all I did was waste my resources.

Re: Trade Ships?
Trade ships are for hauling resources... When you pillage someone, a number of your ships will load up their resources and bring them back to you. If you buy something from someone in the trade post, the necessary number of ships will sail to their dock, load the resources, and bring them back to you. If you sell something to someone through the trade post, your ships will load up, sail to their dock, unload, and return. You also use them to transport resources between your cities.
They are about to implement an update to the game that is going to change some of the dynamics of trade ships as well...
Buying trade ships adds to your overall score as well. The points you get increase with the amount you pay for each ship.

Re: Trade Ships?
97th just cost 4M... haven't been pillaging for gold quite so much lately, as I've been working on collecting goods to upgrade my GR's: Right now I've got my Palace at level 6 so I can drop an FOB (have 5 cities total + FOB), but I loose tons of population when I do have the FOB active. I upgraded my largest colony so it's corruption-proof, and am now working on my 'hub' colony... 30k marble to go and I'll upgrade that GR too!

Re: Trade Ships?
Same, 3 out of 5 GR's upgraded, and its taking about a week at a time, and a hell of a lot of effort. But the score jump is always good!

Re: Trade Ships?
Same here. I have 2 out of 5 upgraded. My longest lead time is the marble.

Re: Trade Ships?
Omg, what is the point of 80+ ships?
I have 45 and the biggest load I've ever used was 24 ships
