Being Spied On...

I've been spied on twice that I know of and probably even more times before.. Are their any countermeasures or any possible way I could find out whos doing this? In my area of islands I'm doing the best for city sizes and all that so wouldnt seem uncommon but still...

The best defense to spying, in my opinion, it to raise your hideout levels and recruit more spies. That way, if your spies are inactive (not spying on anybody) they work towards the defense of your town. However, the larger the town the easier it is for someone to plant a spy.

So you need to hire spies of your own (money/hour) to be able to make sure your all good??

And what is everyone doing against it when they catch a spy? Attack the person? Send a message? Request resources?

You need to train spies which costs very little. I don't believe there is a recurring cost to them. Just have a bunch of spies sitting in your hideout.

Exactly, and when I catch spies I attempt diplomacy first, letting them know that I consider their spies acts of war, so unless they are willing to do so... They have so far gotten the point.

There are other things to consider as well though: Their score, alliances, military strength, etc... Post some info on the people and I'm sure someone will be willing to help...

alright, ty.. Thought spies cost at first, now seeing that they dont.. So no real excuse not to have plenty? Like trading ships?

Other than the time, upgrade costs of the building (1 spy per hideout level), and the initial cost of each spy.... Nope! I've got 6th and 9th level hideouts in all my colonies and will eventually shoot for at least 12th level - too busy with other projects at the moment.
