Attacked by someone on my own island!
Someone much higher than me on my capital's island is attacking me without provocation. So far he has not answered my PM asking why he has chosen to do this.
Island: Bayhious
Attacker: Haldavan
Attacker's City: Asgard
His Alliance: SOUL
What are my options? I am not yet in the TGA alliance, request sent earlier today so I'm waiting in line.
*Update*
He sent five gyrocopters and wiped out my defenders (11 slingers) and pillaged 4gp from me. Not sure if that was to soften me up or tick me off... seems pointless since he really doesn't have much to gain from my tiny town.

Have you been donating to the mills? This may be the reasoning behind it. Try donating a little wood to the mills and see if this is his reasoning. He is 12 hours out for me with ground troops and I'm currently caught up in a war myself. You appear to have only a single colony, correct? If so, destroy your port unless you have some other reason for needing it at this point in the game. Doesn't make any since that he is attacking such a low level colony on his own island.
I've sent the following message on your behalf:
When you become able to colonize, I would suggest moving closer to other TGA's. We need some more in our area [21:38] if your interested. Our numbers are small here, but we aren't pushovers.It has come to our attention that you have been attacking an island mate (Lorax74:Truax) without provocation. I have ships out pillaging inactive people in the area (none are affiliated with an alliance that I can tell), what would have happened had I destroyed my port with them at sea?
Thanks for the message to him, I don't mind being attacked (well, I guess I do, but hey...), but by someone so far ahead of me and on my island just doesn't make sense.

Nothing as far as the port goes. If your using it now though, I wouldn't destroy it completely. It simply effects how long it takes to load and unload goods and how much people can pillage from you. Stay at level 1 if he keeps attacking and don't go above 2 until you get a defense in place. Level 4 is the max and even that allows a decent pillage.
Have any of those inactives return to active status? If so, you may want to try diplomacy with them. There is a chance that they are affiliated somehow just as you are with TGA.

None of the 5 people I pillaged so far has returned from inactive status. Based on what I've read so far, I haven't upgraded my port beyond level 1.
i have actually donated more than some of the higher level players on my island, not much, but I have been donating.
*Edit*
I took a look at the logging mill and I have donated the same amount as this person, I'm level 4, he is level 13. The vineyard is a different story, I have only donated a few hundred and he is in the thousands, however, I am only level 4 - how much is expect at that level?

Just doesn't make any sense...
Not much but you never know, some people are particular about that. I was attacked in much the same manner when I first started. The guy blockaded two of my three ports and demanded that I start donating if I wanted the attacks to stop. A little diplomacy and a fighting attitude quickly resolved the matter. He would have slaughtered me though.
Definitely keep your port low for now...
Keep your town wall equivalent with your town hall as well. Having a lower town wall than your town hall gives an attacker a very large advantage.
He was probably just probing to see what you had. At your level, his spies aren't very effective.

I usually upgrade my wall and then my town hall and keep them at the same level, though I am considering upping my wall an additional level, either that or pump some more upgrades into my research facility (it's at 6 now).

I just spied his garrison.... 5 gyrocopters and 3 ram ships... thats it.

This foo is about 11 hours from me - but if he has some nice goodies and it is for a good cause, count me in. How far is everybody else? If one of you 'guys or dolls' are much closer, I will back off and allow you the glory of the pillage.
This SOUL alliance does not seem too impressive. I looked at their alliance page - they were nice enough to include some coordinates of some of their other members (there are only five members, total).Capt_Kirk

draeh will be headed out shortly to play smack down with this aggressor.
EDIT:Blockade is on its way. 19h travel time. At 12AM EST I will launch my troops to land 1 hour into the blockade. Currently, 5 spies are in the city.Last edited by draeh; 05-29-2008 at 09:12 AM.

My aggressor has not responded to my inquiry into why he felt the need to attack me, and to only come away with 4gp... waste of his time and my resources.
