Had a colony for a while now and I can't get them to work the normal way (by clicking on the resources - goes to the donation page). I'm guessing you have to do something different to your capital.
Oh no you just have to select your colony, I presume your just clicking on the island, right ? What you need to do is click the scroll down list at the top of the page and choose the name of your colony, then you can go into saw mill and what not on your island view and place workers.
