I am a member of Sagacity, (SCY) the little sister alliance of Serendipity (SDY) we would like to know if you would like a peace treaty with us? We seem to share a lot of the same islands and a peace treaty would be beneficial to both of our alliances. I can also speak with SDY about having a peace alliance as well but for now I can only speak for SCY.

What I am asking for is a non aggression pact between oth of our alliances. No member of TGA or SCY (and most likely SDY) will attack, spy on, or interfere with any TGA members. In return we would ask the same of you. Additionally if you would like a military alliance (with us and SDY) it would make us one of the strongest combined alliances in the game and would most likely prevent anyone from trying to strong arm any of our combined members. With the military alliance we would be willing to help out in any wars you are in and once again we would ask the same.

Just make sure you go through and do your due diligence with researching this alliance. SCY is a puppet alliance of SDY. Their actions in the server regularly lead to war. Some of the bad blood between this group and the rest of the alpha server comes from their recruiting processes in the past where they would spam alliances and players in the game about joining/merging with their alliance.

They also have regularly declared war against alliances with ranks far lower than their own and often times outnumbering their opponent by 100 members or more.

In their war with Sith, their leader said that they enjoy grinding small alliances like VII as it's fun for them and "may" make them stronger in the future.

Because of their actions, it brings them closer to war with alliances that can put them in their place. Why would you want to be dragged into wars repeatedly with an alliance that struggles against those that have far fewer members?

As I understand it, their latest actions bring them closer to war with groups like Fury, Boot, HBR and others. When you do discuss relations with this group of players, just make sure you do fully research their gameplay.

SCY is the little sister alliance of SDY but we are not their puppet by far. I regularly disagree with the SDY leadership on many issues, Larianus the leader of SCY is his own man.

Also we have never started a war with anyone, the wars we have been in were in retaliation to players attacking us. If you look closely you will see that neither SDY or SCY ever instigated a war. I know one of the members of SDY is a bit abrasive and does sometimes stir the pot but they also have not started a war.

an peace treaty between SCY and TGU would protect both of our interests considering probably about 90% of SCY and TGU live around the same area.

Also the reason SCY is in existence is because SDY got too big too quick, too many players wanted to join so SCY was created for the players learning to play the game as well as players with lower point totals. While myself and a few other players are considered the leaders and have high enough point totals to be in SDY we prefer to stay in SCY because there are less politics involved as well as we are helping the newer players learn to play the game. That is our goal, not war.

From what I have seen where SDY goes, SCY follows particularly when it comes to things like war declarations. All you have to do is take a look at the Ikariam official Alpha forums to see evidence of this.

I can personally attest to what Lucky mentioned about invites - I receive spam invites on a regular basis - it seems they don't really keep track of who they invite they just shotgun out mass invites at anyone who looks like a potential recruit.

These guys are a prime example of an alliance that takes quantity over quality. They have stepped on quite a few toes on alpha in their rush to grow. I would be really careful before agreeing to any sort of pact/deal with them.

SDY/SCY has declared war many times and has yet to have anyone declare war on them. I don't know of how else one can describe instigating a war than by going through the steps of declaring war over and over again.

Regardless, their group has written into their bylaws that they won't attack a top 10 alliance, so your not likely to see an attack from them, or need the peace treaty. The question remains as to whether you would want a Mutual Defense pact with this group, do understand that in light of the fact that there are many strong groups calling for SDY blood, that this is akin to the Chineese Tree Catcher asking for you to help him from out of the crowd.

Decide what you wish, but do research this group fully before you decide anything.

you dont have to ally with SDY, I am referring to SCY which I am the home secretary and given the authority to fulfill diplomatic relations. SDY has declared war but not started them. SDY rarely attacks people in other alliances, its the other way around. I know they have a bad rep from a lot of people, but like I said, we are affiliated but not SDY. Have you guys ever heard of the tough guy mentality? To be the best you have to take out the best. A lot of people spam attack SDY because they want to try and prove something.

SDY is about to get into a war with boot which SCY will not get involved in, if they do too many players would end up quitting because they are getting tired of getting involved in wars that have nothing to do with them. That should prove we are not their puppet. If you guys don't want anything to do with us I understand. I just figured since we all live in the same area, no alliances would be able to strong arm us if we mutually protected each other. Thats the only reason im here. If you would like a token of our friendship we would also be willing to offer that.
