rediculous upkeep
so, my main city, population 2415, has massive upkeep. when nobody is working, or learning, the income is 9.5k/hour, but there is 5.5k/hour upkeep even when nobody is working, i dont have THAT many troops in this town either..
50 phalanx
3 rams
38 archers
5 catapults
15 gyrocoptors
2 docs
2 cooks
and if i drop the 50 phalanx.... it doesnt move that much.... WHATS GOIN ON!!! lol

All those units base upkeep comes to 5151 upkeep, have to subtract off any research bonuses you get. Do you have any ships in port? Ballista, Mortar, Ram? That might be enough with research bonuses to get you to 5.5k easy

Re: rediculous upkeep
I'd ditched the docs, cooks, rams and catapults... can build docs and cooks on-demand, and having a boat load of spies costs zero upkeep and opens walls just as well.

Re: rediculous upkeep
Weird.
I have 5,001 upkeep in my main town.
96 phalanx
10 archers
10 gunmen
13 steam giants
2 docs,
2 cooks,
13 ram ships
3 ballista
14 paddle wheel ram
2 flame thrower
But I have almost all the research upgrades. That could be it.

Talking transport ships? I would bet. I only have 30 or so.
Is the upkeep for transport ships distributed across all colonies?
