When I first installed a few days ago I noticed right off the bat the lack of conventional HUD crosshairs. I've been playing without for a few days, making use of the ironsights, until this afternoon I noticed that my console threw an error trying to retrieve a crosshair component layer or some sort.

Am I supposed to have an onscreen crosshair? I looked for screen caps but couldn't really find any w/a crosshair in them.

If so, that explains quite a bit...

No cropsshairs for you. The error is likely due to there being none when the game expects one. Or it's just Source being buggy. It dumps loads of red text into console on TF2.
