Is the Insurgency dead?

I just redownloaded the latest patch of the game and am about to start playing it probably, do any TG members play this mod at all or is it all lost to the community?

I have been playing Insurgency since the day it was released... it is uninstalled now. I will most definitely keep giving each new patch a try till they get it right though.

Latest insurgency patch has some new weapons, pretty nice... Should get a date when we can all meet up and play once a week or once a month.. Get something going like some of the other games/mods have in TG. Don't even need our own server, just one that has some open space where we can all fit into it.

I like the realism and all but the hl2 engine is just to small the maps are just to tiny and it feels like a frag fest

It's not bad. But long load times, and glitches such as player half through walls ruin it for me. Like was said before, small maps, not enough maps and limited weapons. Hopefully it gets better down the road. But by then it may be too late.

I tried it out, I like it still but nothing massive. I'll give it a try some more. Theres no TG insurgency server at the moment right.

Most annoying thing so far is enemies camping 10 feet from your spawn, feels like deathmatch

New maps, smoother action, and improved weapons especially sniper weapons what's not to love. Guys need to give 2.1 a shot but remember the shader patch and hang on there is another update momentarily. I definitely give it two thumbs up and can't wait for 3.0 built around the Orange box engine.
