Mod for HL2
Since there are so many that are being developed and released why not use this thread to post some of the more promising ones.
I like the looks of this one:http://www.bgmod.com/ . Like Civil War type FPS, really looks like it will be cool to play. Totally different game style, really slow and you can shot in lines!
next.that sounds like a good idea trooper.

Plan of Attack.

I posted a preview of an early beta a while back:

Since then, it's only gotten better, and they released an SDK as well.

Re: Mod for HL2
I am fairly stoked abou this one: http://blackmesasource.com/
Not only will it allow me to play through the whole story line (HL1>HL2>Episodes) all on the same engine, but it's also one of the most professional looking mods out there.

This one also looks very professional and boasts some pretty impressive gameplay mechanics.

Insects Infestation - This seems like a change of pace in game genre, I think it could be fun.

Of course garrys mod, I played that so much when I first heard about it over a year ago. Played from like .7 or whatever up until 9. Still one of the coolest mods to mess with.|TG-12th|Undead

Looks extremely promising, murder simulation on a cruise ship in the 1920's!

Re: Mod for HL2

It's a NS/Savage style total conversion for HL2 that looks to be based in a futuristic Euro-styled world.
Iron Grip: The Oppression
Iron Grip: The Oppression is a Total Conversion Modification for Half Life2. The game is set in a custom universe, which you can read more about on this site later.
With gameplay never seen before, this game will be the first to provide real urban guerilla-warfare by a unique combination of elements taken from both first-person-shooters and real-time-strategy games.
A player can choose two sides in this game - Rahmos or Resistance. The Rahmos side is a real-time-strategy game played by, initially, one person. The Resistance side is represented by numerous players, who play a first-person-shooter.
The Rahmos Forces
The player that chooses the Rahmos side becomes the General of the Rahmos forces. The structures at his command allow him to produce different types of infantry and vehicles. As in any RTS, the infantry and vehicles respond to orders and are intelligent to a certain degree. Should the Resistance team become so powerful a General can no longer manage his troops effectively, another player can join the Rahmos side and will play an RTS like the General. However, this player, being lower in rank, can only command the troops assigned to him by his superior. The General can also choose to create a sergeant unit in which the supporting player can spawn and play a first-person-shooter, commanding other infantry.
Resistance
The Resistance players have several heroes to choose from when they join the game. Every character is unique in appearance, available weaponry and skillset - and can therefore only be played by one player at a time. These heroes can be developed throughout the game. Resistance forces earn skill points every round. Using these points, they can extend their skillset or choose to revive themselves once. Should the player be killed, he will not respawn as the character he selected, but as a generic Resistance warrior. Skillpoints earned as a soldier enable the player to play the hero again.Become a supporting member!

Re: Mod for HL2
There are a couple of threads with these included in them already but:
Insurgency: www.insurgencymod.net - FPS tactical realism set in Iraq
Nuclear Dawn: http://www.nuclear-dawn.net - FPS/RTS combo with space marines
Edit: Insurgency has a news posting with in-game music they've just made, check it out it's really well done.

Insurgency is the most impressive looking mod out there, I believe. They just released new screens. Check them out!

Re: Mod for HL2
Insurgency is the best looking hl2 mod in development right now (exlcuding black mesa source, but that's entirely different). I'm not a big fan of real world tact sims but they have some real quality in it.
IIRC Mateo plan of attack's source code was released and the dev team disbanded.
