Re: First Impressions?
It reminds me of Americas Army a bit. It is a nice blend of DOD & CSS though. Once the patches cpme out im sure it will be less buggy. They should have talked to us TG players for ideas.

Re: First Impressions?
Re: Gil
I'm not talking about laser precision...but I am. See, the inaccuracy I describe means if I target the same mark-on-a-wall and fire five times, I'll put five bulletholes in a tight cluster someplace below my target. I would say it was a simple offset, but since the "drop" seems to be more on closer targets, it might be an issue of tracing bullets from the rifle model position, which is good when unsighted, being applied when it's sighted, which is when the bullet should come from your face since that's what you're align the pipe to. Re: Ed. ...which may be why pistol works for me. It doesn't hit low, so perhaps the bullet trace source moves up properly when you sight.

Re: First Impressions?
I really like the game but there are way too many team killers out there. This is the number one reason i am considering helping the community out by becoming an SM so i can play on the server. I enjoy the teamwork and friendly environment.

Re: First Impressions?
It's an absolute blast when playing on the TG server. However, in the pubs it's no fun right now with all the TK'ing and such. I'm just glad a lot of TG'ers are playing it and the TG server has lots of players.

Re: First Impressions?
I hear a lot of TK complaints. Frankly I think it's unappropriate. One round I TK'd three times because someone on my team came around a corner and faced me and I had no clue where my men were at because everyone was lost or killhunting. The one time I didn't attack on detection, it was a T with the bandana that looks like a helmet and by the time I realised it my bullets weren't counting anymore.
The TK problem (not jerks mowing everyone down in spawn but the casual stuff) is mostly because no one says things like "Breaching house" before they zip into a location. Also, if people moved in pairs and covered each other, there'd be a lot fewer TKs because you wouldn't have so many lone gunmen slipping right through the opposing team's "defense," and pistoling them all in the back.

Re: First Impressions?
I lag a lot outdoors... people are waaaaaaaaaay too fast for me (Its pure luck if I manage to shoot someone before they shoot me) and I'm usually completely lost.
As for the TKing and people not shouting out their current position... just how do we go about doing that? Because I'm so lost all the time, I dont even know where I am. "I'm by that tree... uhh... to the left of that big building near Bravo (west of Bravo? Who the [censored] knows?!)That said, I love the feeling of the weapons and I like the gameplay (minus the spawn camping that even seems to happen often on the TG server). I'm thinking if you liked Americas Army, you'll like Ins. It gets some getting used too, but its fun.

Re: First Impressions?
Even that is enough. Simple things like "I'm pushing the alleyway" or "we're moving inside" will prevent the shoot-on-motion reaction that causes trouble when two groups are moving into the same area.
Additionally, if you think you see someone but are busy advancing, call it out. "Check the roof" can keep an advanced enemy from popping two of your doods. Of course, you need to watch for what your buddies are watching. If one's watching a roof, you better watch the alleyway or a T might zip around and pop you both.

Re: First Impressions?
Ive managed to Acidently TK quite a bit but it just because im so crap sighted that it makes figuring out which skin is which, however ive now relised that it like on CSS bad guys dont wear helmets and the good guys do, so i should be getting my fire in the right places now.
