I've found if you hold the spacebar down for a second to long you'll jump after standing coming from a crouch. If you just tap it, it doesn't jump.

Re: Wish List, Bugs, Suggestions.

I agree about the shotties. I also agree no weapons jam. but please no claymores unless they limit the number you can carry and they cant reload once they've layed them. nothing kills a game for me worse than actually using tactics/cover and skill then get killed by something people throw all over the map and run away.

Re: Wish List, Bugs, Suggestions.

A map. Dear god does it need a map. Or CS-like markings in-game. Or at the VERY least, a range on the compass to tell you how far it is to the objective. I couldn't tell if I was on top of the objective, or half a mile away.

Bug-wise, I got pwned by a nade bug, whereby I was stuck holding a grenade following a vertical drop (once it was off a ledge, the other time it was after crouching). I held the nade, could not throw it, and could not switch off it. That blew.

The shotgun needs more beef, or to get the axe. It's useless at just about every range that occurs in the game, especially given the realistic damage model (where you DON'T soak a dozen bullets or anything like that).

I'd like to be able to move while aiming the RPG. Not quickly, and maybe not even more than a couple steps before it gets pulled back down automatically. Basically, I'd like enough to be able to pull it up, and then step from behind a corner or crest a hill or similar, still able to shoot.

Some way to measure ammo would be nice. I understand their reasons for leaving it out, but maybe at least note capacity on the little magazine picture when reloading? So people know how many shots to expect?

The nade jam bug is on the 1.0a fix list.

I might try out shotty sometime. I used the XM1014 only once but I trounced with it.

Do you mean the capacity of a full mag? If so, it says right on the weapon switch list how much ammo a magazine holds and which calibre. If you mean cycling into partially used magazines because you've reloaded through your full ones, I wouldn't mind a Full/Used/Empty marker (Healthy/Wounded/Dead lol) but nothing more than that. You should know how much you were leaving in your mags. (I assume it loads to fullest mag whenever possible.)

You don't really know how many rounds you have left in real life (although you can give a rough estimate depending on weight). I like that in the game.

While true, the amount of ammo you have to start with isn't obvious in-game, and that's probably what's bothering me more.

Re: Wish List, Bugs, Suggestions.

If they showed how many mags i started with then that would be great. I like the realism part of not knowing how much ammo you have used unless you keep track of your shots.

Re: Wish List, Bugs, Suggestions.

This really hasn't been an issue for me yet, seeing as how I die long before I run out of mags. I just reload after every fire fight.

This is one of the realism things the dev team was going for.

Re: Wish List, Bugs, Suggestions.

If you hit the +bandage key (z by default I think) it doesn't actually do any bandaging as far as I can tell but in the bottom right it tells you how many mags you have.

Improving the Commander Class

This is a modification to my original Waypoint suggestion. I think this is more flexible and very easy to use (more so than the current implementation)

Improved Waypoints:

Allow the Commander to quickbind up to three color coded waypoints. For example:

Bind "X" GreenWayPoint
Bind "Y" BlueWayPoint
Bind "Z" RedWayPoint

Pressing this key immediately brings up the corresponding colored waypoint. Pressing MOUSE1 drops the waypoint. If the key is pressed again, the original waypoint disapears and the Commander can drop a new one.

This allows the Commander the ability to issue commands like "Sniper on the Blue waypoint, Suppressive fire on the Green waypoint, and Infantry Secure Red Waypoint."

The Commander can also issue commands like "Regroup at Blue, Proceed to Green with Caution, and Engage the Enemy at Red"

This system allows the commander to quickly label the battlefield, and still requires audio communication to understand the group objectives.

Re: Wish List, Bugs, Suggestions.

Problem with realism is you start taking things away to make it more like RL, but you need to keep certain things that you would know as a soldier. Mag count, Mag Empty, Longer visual of friendly, Location. True you can make them as vague as you want but a normal soldier would know all those things. Just the small things that would help in the game.

Re: Wish List, Bugs, Suggestions.

Anyone else experiencing odd bugs with the lean system?

Sometimes It won't let me lean, sometimes I'm stuck leaning, and sometimes I'll hold the lean key and it jiggles me back and forth.
