Yeah i've noticed. There is some kind of blocking with the model and objects. If your next to a building for instance, you can't lean into the building. So much of this was objects I didn't percieve to be next to me but were in fact there according to the model. This is that actual position to game view relation again.

Please, don't make this into Counterstrike: Source: Insurgency: Modern Infantry Combat.

Maps ("radar"), who you killed, who killed you, magically knowing how many rounds you have left, etc, etc. :P

As far as how many rounds you have, standard fighting load in real life is 210 rounds (7 magazines X 30 rounds). As an aside, I always carry more than that. Anyway, it always shows "6" when I reload, but I think the game is counting how many you have in reserve, not including the magazine currently inserted into your weapon.

I don't necessarily want CSSIMIC. But there's a buttload of situational awareness that a soldier has that I -- a computer geek who has never held anything more powerful than a .22 hunting rifle in his life -- do not possess.

The number of bullets in a FAL magazine (in general, not a current count from in-game)? The distance to Objective Delta? Where in the sam hell Delta *IS*? These aren't questions that trial by fire should need to answer.

Agreed. It would be nice if objectives had a dynamic physical presence, like DoD has flags. It is a little confusing to approach the indicator on the HUD only to find yourself securing some sandbags.

I think the Charlie Objective in Baghdad is a big offender here. Seriously, is it that WHOLE area in the middle or what? [/Rhetorical]

I played for almost two hours before realizing that my reload key wasn't bound . . . when it takes 1-4 shots to kill someone (accounting for missed shots) and you have a 30 round magazine, its hard to run out of ammo (although i don't think i ever killed more than 5-6 people before I died).

there were quite a few times where i didnt take the shot cause i couldnt be sure if it was a ski mask or helmet i was seeing and ended up getting shot in the face, but i like that sooo much more than seeing somebody's name pop up.

With the current patch you can see muzzle flashes through walls and objects.

I like it when someone is laying under a wooden chair and you lay 30 rounds into it with a SAW and the dude still is alive...

Slop, shut up. That sucked. Anyhoo, despite the bugs and miscellaneous crap going about, I like how it is now. It's simple enough as to where you have a commander, on the TG server, there usually is one, and it points you towards your objective. You're not going to know exactly where an objective is on a real-scale battlefield the first time you've been there, are you? There definitely are bugs that need to be worked out. But as far as some of the aspects in this game go? Perfectly fine.

EDIT: That was Atomic, not you. My bad. And it was under a table, M4, all thirty rounds. Turns around and pops me in the face.
