Year old thread but its time to bring it to the front. I'll have the CY scrim team drop by for a while. Probably be around 2100 hours.

I should be able to play a few maps as well..it was a lot of fun the other afternoon..even being a newb and not having a clue what to do or where to do it! hahahaah

So your just going to give up on this mod at TG all together because of some jerk pubbies ?? Spawn raping is a part of INS..... I know it sucks, but fight thru it, try to get some names and SteamIDs and us admins can take care of em... You just have to realize that in this game, you spawn in the game is LIVE! You are on the battlefield, so be ready for anything.

spawn raping happens in ANY game, just more often in this one. This should improve after we define the rules in an SOP of some sort.

keep in mind theres >1000 players, it wont take long to root out the problem ones.

Like other games, if your team is not the most experienced you can end up being pushed back into the spawn. And yes, then it's spawn camping time. But this game hasn'y any established rules etc yet. Once that comes up, we'll swiftly deal away with that every time i'll bet!

Also, everyone here seems to think that writing up some SOPs on the forums, is going to stop pub players from spawn camping you on the server ??? LOL hardly. They have never seen these forums much less a set of rules for our server. Now obviously the ones who ARE members of this forum DO know what is expected and will not engage anyone in their spawn.... But Im afraid that writing up a few paragraphs of rules will not cure this problem.

You are correct..we boot them right and left off of the CoD4 servers with a message to come to the site and read the rules..if they return and pull any asshattery, they are history....

We also post the rules during play for the new players.

And with a few tweaks a short period of spawn protection takes care of the dual spawn/capture points.

More importantly any map that doesn't support our play style should be removed. (I know , I've helped play test maps for PCS as well.)

We have pubbies come through CoD just like you do for PCS and they adapt or leave.

I have taken the liberty of creating an INS Night event for the Insurgency group on Steam.. I started it at 8pm eastern on Tuesday night for the rest of the month. Enjoy!
