    The Dreaded RPG

IMO this weapon is over powered, unrealistic, and doesn't comply with the SOPS.
Real RPG's dont NEARLY have the blast radius of they do in this game. Its the awp of CSS, only it explodes.
In real life, RPGs are used to attack vehicles and tanks! not to attack infantry. the purpose of bringing an RPG to a 2 mile wide battle zone has yet to make itself clear.
In nearly all of the SOPS in TG, there is a mention of suicide tactics. In this game, what part of clearing a room with a RPG is not a suicide tactic? When in use, this weapon is usually fired from a range of ~10ft. Idk about everyone else, but that feels a lot like suicide to me.

whats your guys's thoughts on this weapon? i played a couple of rounds with it, and it was a breeze to kill people. while playing on a good sized server, i die from it 40% of the time.
    Any input is appreciated

RPG's are conventionally used against bunkers and locations where infantry may be amassed as well.

As for its use in CQ combat, I have to agree. An RPG wouldn't be my first pick for a full-on breach...but for a ranged shot into a room that needs clearing, certainly nothing can really compare.

Its one of those weapons that if they dont put in people will complain. The whole setting of the game just calls for the RPG. You can try to make it fair and tactical but its only going to get used how the players themselves want to use it.
that sounds like a good idea trooper.

Insurgents REALLY DO use RPGs as anti-infantry weapons. There is nothing wrong with the implementation in this game. The maps are small enough that the accuracy is realistic, too.

    Re: The Dreaded RPG

ill give you guys the fact that they fit in the game, BUT what about their use as suicide weapons on OUR server.
Firing a rocket launcher down a hallway does NOT happen in real life. Some maps are large enough for this weapon, i agree. BUT a majority of these maps are fairly small scale.
A RPG is essentially a sniper with a rocket launcher. They are used as support to blast away groups of infantry from behind the front lines. Why a RPG'r would be storming a house is beyond me.

Its also very easy to consider this game as having unlimited ammo. If the rpg camps a site, he can rocket spam everything in sight and have ulimited reloads. This tactic is utilized by a lot of players also.

Idk, this weapon just does not feel very TG to me. It reminds me very much of the awp in CSS.

.... not me, I can't seem to get running jump straffing kills with the RPG.

But in all seriousness, I can totally see your point on the issue rudeboy. This is a good point to add to our 'eventually' created SOP list for this title. Much like BF2 has no AT on infantry, we could have no RPGs indoors, period... something of that nature maybe..

Right, except keep in mind that many insurgents have made tragic mistakes because they're not trained AT ALL. Realistically, it could happen, and probably has.

Seems fair to me, if you're visible for long enough to get shot by an RPG, you're going down sooner or later anyway.

Two separate points, and I will x2 endos. But like other have said, RPGs are used in the real world, and I'm sure many real insurgents have been told, "Here's this. Stay here and shoot at anything that moves." Does anyone know off-hand how many rockets you get when you spawn with an RPG?

I was under the assumption that ammo is limited. For that fact, I know it is. :P I've died a lot of times in this game because of that horrid clicking sound.

I think what they were getting at is that someone could camp next to an ammo crate with it.
