Teamwork & Comms practice

There has been a lot of talk lately about the use of team work and comms. So I figured we should have an official practice night so everyone can practice these points. I have set up a time on calender for Fri night. If this is not a good time, we can set up one for another date. But I am going to be on around 8PM my time. Which is 9 for most. I was thinking we can go through comms use and the use of in game commands (to free up TS time), and practice using them in real time. As well as practice ambushes and tactics for different odjectives. I know we use tactics now, but we can hone them to a skill that would make people fear us. If we can create tactics for specific maps. Then we can clean house and create grave sites for those who think they walk all over us.

Good idea. I still haven't figured out how the "enemy spotted" command works. People say that it marks the map, but I never see anything on my map.

Re: Teamwork & Comms practice

Wherever your pointer is, or your binoc crosshair, is pointed, it puts a purple "splotch" on the minimap that looks like a squashed bug. It's ok, but when the enemy is in a fast moving vehicle, by the time you hit the key combination, they're gone. If it's a sniper, it's helpful, but a mortar target might be moreso.

I'm sure that it marks where you are looking simply so people don't do what I did at first, which is hit "Enemy spotted" every 30 seconds to see if there's any hidden enemies nearby.

Don't use the binoculars as they are slightly offset from your normal view. Use either the weapon x-hairs or the target designator. The key combo is F10-7.

Spotting Targets Part 2 - Nothing better than screenshots to show how to do something.

I'll try to be there this Friday. I might be busy or my parents' 56K will be dropping my connection.

Wouldn't that be 7pm Eastern, not 9pm like you stated in your first post?

I've never understood why we haven't converted to Universal time for Internet use. You can use this handy app so you don't have to do the math even. It's probably to simple like the metric system.

Re: Teamwork & Comms practice

All my clocks are set to Altantic Time. I assume that is the same as Eastern. However, like I said, I will be on around 8PM. For most people I have seen, I am an hour ahead. Just check the teamspeak as I will be on there. I hope to have a good turn out. I will be drunk, so bear with me. Just came into a lot of cash and paying off my van and ALL my bills. Good time to celebrate. Wife is pissed that I chose you guys, but oh well for her. LOL! Maybe she can get a comp and play too. Oh God......... I hope she doesn't read this.

Re: Teamwork & Comms practice

Coldbore your time zone is ADT, UTC-3
Eastern (EDT) is UTC-4, one hour behind you.
I'm PDT, UTC-7, so this thing will start at 4pm my time, which means I have a lot of work to do.

Yes! Smile for the camera!

GMT is the same as the UTC. From there you have this:

Canada uses six primary time zones. From east to west they are Newfoundland Time Zone, Atlantic Time Zone, Eastern Time, Central Time Zone, Mountain Time Zone, and the Pacific Time Zone. This link shows the GMT offsets for each of these zones. The US uses four of the same zones from Eastern through Pacific (Alaska and Hawaii are additional zones, but I don't think we have any gamers there?)
