Graphics problem on the stock CQB map.
Sorry I can't remember the name of it, it's very linear with the middle "C" base being neutral at the start of the round...
Anyway, my problem is that some of the buildings will disappear every now and then. I can see my teammates and the enemy, but that just makes it worse when I sneak around a corner and empty a mag into a bad guy just to find out that there's an invisible wall in between he and I. Very frustrating to try to scramble for cover only to be blocked by a building that I can't see... And simply annoying to see people walking around in mid-air because the building that they're in isn't visible. So, anyone have any suggestions on which settings I might lower in game to keep this from happening? It doesn't happen on any other maps, although I occasionally spawn with an invisible weapon, but that's never bothered me...

I would appreciate some suggestions as well. I just got done playing that map....still don't remember the name....and it does the same thing to me. I play on my notebook so it may limit the solution but it is an Nvidia graphics card.

It's called Kutu Arms Market I think.
What are your systems specs? I can sometimes see through buildings if I lean into them and get a particular angle (something I don't do btw) but never had whole buildings disappear. |

I thinks those are just normal bugs in the game that we have to live with guys, all you can do is step back a bit from the wall or corner to make sure you don't hit any invisible wall.

Yes, that's the name of it! I'm running an Athlon 1800 256 DDR Epox 8kha+ GF Ti500 SB Live! WinXP w/no SPs Quote:
It makes the map completely unplayable for me. Sometimes I'll try to play, but pretty much all I can do is get in a Stryker and kill as many as I can before I get blown up. I can't even medic on that map, due to the invisible walls...

My current system is: Athlon XP3200 Radeon 9800 Pro 1.2Gb DDR500 Windows XP Pro SP2 Cable connection and even with that system, I still have to turn my settings down to maintain high framerate. |

I forgot to mention that I have my video res at 1024x768x32. Perhaps I will turn that down to 8x6...

Re: Graphics problem on the stock CQB map.
The map you're having problem is Kutu Arms Market isn't it? if that's the case, that's the map where just about everyone experience severe frame lag even with a reasonably fast system. My theory is - because you're PC is working so hard and virtually running half the game from your hard drive instead of the physical RAM, it takes too long to draw everything that some building appear to be missing.
Turning down your resolution to 800x600 will help your PC a lot for sure, and will even reduce your lag because your system won't be too busy on just drawing the graphics. One more tip, turn everything down to low but you can have the object detail and texture quality to normal, this is the best setting to get the maximum framerate while maintaining reasonable visual quality. |

I'm debating whether to turn the res down, or just not play that map...
