Custers last stand... TG does it again :)

Except we won, again, 3-4 to 1 against. It was a laugh.

We played the map with the big tower at Charlie and immediately took that (well not immediately, Sarc crashed the chopper into it killing me, fanatik and himself (lol), so we decided to take our own choppers).

Once up there all we could do was defend, with only 3 of use we decided an all out assault against 14 probably wasn't a good idea so we defended. For about 30 minutes they bombarded us with choppers, snipers, cannons and mortars trying to take our base - all to no avail. They then changed tactics and everything went quiet.

Now they were sniping so we decided to snipe back. By this time we had Embalmer, Arch-Angle (Fan's son) and Riyker and we were hitting them back at long range too. After a while some of us took out some choppers with weapons and had much fun mowing them down below us.

They were about 20 strong now and we were still outgunning them.

Then disaster struck. After loosing a few players (emb and Riy) we were left with 4 again (vs 17). They made a massive push with practically every chopper out there I think and took Charlie. A deseperate rush back wasn't good enough to regain control and then they' had fully camped it. Now we were on the receiving end of the punishment as they launched choppers and apc's onto us. Being low and on the ground now wasn't so safe but we gelled together and managed to form a confident defence.

Then we all crashed out. Not them, just us TG members. I went back in to see if the server had gone down but no, the pubbies were still in there. Me v 20 - ahh ok but I only needed 8 more kills.

Dudeman then joined and we mopped up the remaining points. Final score - TG 200 - Pubbies 120-something. An 80 point clear lead and we were outnumber at least 3-1 the whole game.

The weirdest part was that Riyker was top of the board. He had been killed ages ago and hadn't spawned back in. He must've been dead for half an hour and still managed to beat all the pubbies lol.

    Good job all!

I got my first taste of team deathmatch last night and can't think of a better way to run me away from this game. Maybe once we've developed better teamwork and coms but right now we're not there. I can play COD on a pub server with 30 people I don't know and have the same experience.

We had some great teamwork last night which is why we won, and have won practically every game we've played (being outnumbered on all of them). Being outnumbered makes TDM a lot more exciting I think.

Our comms were excellent, we kept everyone aware of what was happening and what was going on. There were no people speaking over each other and we all found roles to fit into meaning everyone was doing a different job but working together.

Maybe your game had more TG players on it and thus making the comms more difficult, that may be the reason, but the games we played were great

TDM is a horrible gametype but that map from yesterday is a lot of fun. You have bases that you can attack and defend so it makes it more interesting. It's kind of like domination but you don't get points and you can't take the last enemy base.

I still have to hand it to the pubbies yesterday. They did a good job at the end coordinating and using their numbers to take over Charlie. There was nothing we could do when ~6 helos came in like that.

We were playing earlier around 1700 EDT. We missed you by about 2-3 hours.

I had an assault that had both choppers plus a zodiac and a sniper attack my position at d in the demo, sry I'm in korea in the army and the px don't have the full version yet. I had the stinger, and knocked down the transport chopper first, and then manned the 50 and took out the dude on the zodiac, one other guy with me, was firing at the gunship, and thats when the sniper appeared on the scene. I got hit and respawned at the spot, took out the sniper and went for the gunship that was still hovering over, and well the stinger finished him off quickly, it had to be atleast 5-2 odds in this and we got them out of there quickly. They kept attacking d, but not in the same strength afterwards. I must add that they needed to take me out because I had taken out like 6 choppers already from that position and they needed me dead. They never did take d from my hands. That 50 cal was a big help and so was the 2x scope on the stinger to view the enemy on the opposite shore trying to snipe me. You guys got any war stories that you wanna share with everyone?

Cool Re: Custers last stand... TG does it again :)

Yeah I play as that callsign, the ww is for my squad, the Weekend Warriors. I am calling the squad that because of my schedule which only allows me to really play during the weekends. So I know this may not be the place but if you are looking for a squad to join and want to see what the Weekend warriors are all about, please feel free to email me at eddo353254@aol.com and put weekend warriors recruit in the subject line. Also place where in the world you are from so that I can get an idea of time that our squad will be able to effectively play as a team.
