Discussion: Left 4 Dead / Left 4 Dead - Maps & Mods - Trying some custom maps - I am trying some custom maps right now
I am in the L4D teamspeak channel
good games with bigeye & kebab & me & PM07SNV
its pretty straightforward to install them
2 tips for install
1) put them in 'addons' folder (with the text file) not 'add-ons' folder
2) put just the file in 'addons' and no sub folders eg addons/map.vpk
I would give Coal'd Blood a score of 4 out of 5 and Dam a score of 4.5 /5
overall I would say its pretty easy to download + install + play and enjoy
Yeah, Coal' Blood is not ready yet. I think it was 3rd or 4th level when the map was just the 'skeleton' of the map with dev textures. First and 2nd level (I think) were quite good. Third level had some errors with the horde navigations and horde spawns when someone pressed button etc.
Dam It was quite good. Lots of stuff to explore. We didn't survive till the end though. Quite good map though.
This game is more fun when you don't know where your going.. New maps ftw!

yes the game was great fun again, just like when it first came out
exploring new maps in coop is the buzz
so, for me, I imagine once a month trying all the new maps, is the best way to enjoy this game

And ofcourse I go and forget that I signed for Zhohar's TGU, ah brilliant. I'll see how I do this as I'd really like to get back into l4d, as haven't played seriously for a while
message me in steam Silver if you can't find 4th guy and I'll try to come.
It is not often that I encounter across myself when researching a topic. I found the following in a recent article on the uses of ethnography in virtual environments:

Took a gamble and got a refurbished 30 GB OCZ Vertex 1 off of NewEgg for the low, low price of $30. Had some trouble getting the drive to be recognized by Windows or by my BIOS. Had to use a jumper...
It has been almost 6 months now and I am still waiting for the second peer-review report to come in for my next book (this one is on the future of television).
Things usually unfold faster than...
