Falling Boomer behavior

What can be said about Boomer behavior during and after a fall? Can you vomit in mid air? Is there a delay when you land? I could swear someone dropped their Boomer and immediately vomited on me with no delay (I thought was supposed to be a delay). Does anyone know the intricate details of all this?

I know that you can't vomit in the air and it seemed to me like there is always a delay between hitting the vomit button and actually puking, so if someone was able to do that immediately, it could have just been server lag

Good question.

You can't puke in the air - you have to press the puke button as soon as you hit the ground.... and then there is always a delay of exactly 1.0 seconds before the puke comes out. But you're right - it does seem like it's instant sometimes.. Maybe that's because of lag?

Idk, but it seems you should never have to fall that far. You shouldn't be that high up. You should almost always be able to throw up on them, no matter how high you are up. But i mean, you shouldn't be higher or further away than your vomit can go.

Re: Falling Boomer behavior

Boomer vomit can hit from high buildings but remember boomer vomit has a limited lifetime and if you are off when you start, chances are you wont hit from a high vantage point.

As for the delay, the delay is very slight, so its not instant. But if you arent prepared to melee as the boomer hits the ground, or shoot the boomer as it begins its jump (preferred), prepare to get slimed.

Does a boomer explode from a long fall? I had this happen but wasn't sure if it was the result of the fall or someone shooting me.

Re: Falling Boomer behavior

Boomer used to explode when falling from high places. They still do in COOP but no-longer in Versus as it was thought to be an exploit.
There is small delay (too long if you ask me) when you can puke upon spawning and hitting the ground.
New patch added feature that if survivors shoot you in mid-air everyone under the boomer get boomed. Didn't see it work when we shot boomer above us, I guess we weren't directly under him...

Anyone else find it ridiculous that the boomer can climb?

I have NEVER had it work for me as a boomer. I been shot 3 or 4 times in the air above the survivors and never had one get hit with the puke.
