Survival Last Stand - Lighthouse
Strategy 1: Movin' and Shootin'
Target time: 12 minutes or more
Weapon Selection: 4 shotguns
My team went with 4 shotguns because we wanted to kill tanks fast, and because of the close range fighting.
1. We start in the generator basement room where the switch to start the event is. As a rule of thumb, we do not use explosives until the third tank. We held out in this room until we ran out of supplies at 4:00 (This usually means we are low on ammo). We placed gas canisters behind the breakable walls and the front entrance. Tanks came in through the window side (front of house) but were easily killed. Horde came in through the front and window side mostly. Smokers attacked from the window side and back breakable wall. We took very little damage.
2. Using a pipe bomb we moved to the front of the house and restocked. In hindsight, we should have left the equipment there (because we would eventually pass through it). After getting ammo and items, we then moved to the inside back of the house, the room adjacent to the bathroom and lighthouse staircase.
3. Here we fought until 8:30 roughly. We had two lulls in fighting and were able to restock while using up the supplies in the room and adjacent rooms. The window in this room was the easiest to defend as zombies had to climb through it. Positioning was corners of the room, back side. The front area was a decent funnel, we were able to shotgun most tanks before they dealt too much damage. We rationed items and shared our pills dependent on damage taken. Items were mainly used when we had tanks to minimize the amount of zombies we had to deal with. Smokers hit from the front kitchen and the window, they were easy to deal with (though one of us got pulled out because they were not positioned correctly).
4. At 8:30 we used the lull (because we killed many zombies quickly), to get ammo and move upstairs. We then stocked at the 1st roof where there is a second ammo pile. While we were doing so a huge wave came, I emptied 4 molotovs quickly to buy us time (front of house, basement landing, backside, and driveway ramp. We then moved up to the lighthouse.
5. We situated ourselves underneath the lighthouse next to the 2nd floor window on the 2nd roof. We were able to defend against the 10:00 wave at this position, but we lost one guy because he was B/W and a hunter swiped him. Smokers had to turn the corner of the roof to hit us and were not a problem from the back side. Smokers from the front had to be dealt with but that was not a big issue. Here we slowly whittled away, we were incapped several times. However this position allowed us to take more tanks that had to climb up and also pick up incaps.
6. After I was black and white and my only other teammate got incapped, I moved to the 1st level of the lighthouse. We had not used the molotovs up there but I was smoked off when trying to get up to the top. This area was very dangerous because all the railings at this point had been smashed off so smokers could pick at any position.
Strat 2 - Bunkering Down
Same setup for weapons.
1. We start inside the house in the room adjacent to the bathroom and lighthouse stairwell. We basically take the tanks in here and use the supplies in the house sparingly (ie. Molotov usage only on Tank w/ waves. This allowed us to buy reach the 10m mark inside this room with a pipe bomb left.
2. Pipe was used to move up to the 1st roof and resupply. We then defended this until the next tank spawn, which was 11:00. As soon as it spawned, we grabbed ammo and moved into the basement where there were additional supplies.
3. The basement is used as the last stand position. Its additional supplies allow for some good extended molotov defense, along with the wooden rack to distract tanks (making them climb up it sometimes). Here we died when the 6 smoker event took us out.
Strat 3 - Exploiting
To keep this brief, use the two rocks found in the back of the house near the cliff. Climb between the two rocks and you'll find yourself standing in a near unreachable area. Fits 4 people if they stack properly, but you will need hunting rifle to take out smokers that can still snag you. Tanks could still hit you with a rock or punch but it depends completely on luck of AI pathfinding at that point.
