Survival Dead Air - Terminal
Strategy 1 - Under the Escalator
Target time - 15 minutes or more
Weapons: 4 assault rifles -> 2 shotties/2 assault rifles -> 4 shotguns
1. The weapon selection here is mainly due to minimizing early damage, then dealing with horde + tanks, and then multiple tanks towards the 15+ minute marks. Ideally you can survive to 20 minutes on this map easily if your team can mitigate that damage.
2. Positioning, there are a number of places to sit below the escalator, but there are two key spots. The chairs against the wall should be the left side anchor (assault rifle). The right side corner (closer to the corner directly below the escalator) should be the right side anchor (also assault rifle). The other two may place themselves anywhere between the middle of the two anchor positions.
3. The anchors are there to provide the line of sight on tanks that generally attack either from the far left or straight ahead where the ammo pile is. The weapon selection of four assault rifles can easily take down tanks and hordes before they start to come together at the same time.
4. The weapon switch in the middle is after the 6-8 minute mark mainly due to tank stopping power as tanks and hordes often come together. While the assault rifle is great for killing tank or horde at range, it simply cant empty fast enough to do both. The shotguns provide extra stopping power, especially if you can get the shotty guys to challenge the tanks as they come with cover from the assault rifle guys.
5. At some point 4 shotguns would probably be the best. Pistols easily substitute for the assault rifle's range to take down horde. Special infect is still pretty rare and generally not a issue. However multi-tanks + horde requires quick tank kills while still being able to blast a group of infected down quickly (or tank with infected shielding him).
6. Occasional item runs are made to the bathrooms and far consierge desk to get the pills + grenades since you will have long lulls. The long lulls are mainly due to the straight path for zombies to get to you and the ease of killing them in an open area. Working from the furthest items to the closest (ammo pile/random grenades on the left side), you should generally have maybe one grenade left (if used properly) at the 18 minute mark, just enough to buy you time to take out two tanks at the same time.

Re: Survivor Dead Air - Terminal
I got the gold on this one by camping the desk over by where the van goes through the fence. Lots of pickup items there already, long sight lines, and if all 4 of you stay behind the desk a smoker cant yank anyone away. You can duck under the desk to avoid rocks and it's a quick trip to the ammo cache to refill during a lull. We went with 4 autoshotties under the premise that everyone used pistols on any infected other then the tank, and the shotties on the tank(s) themselves to obliterate it quickly.

My plan; Stay behind the desk until the goodies run out then make a dash to the bathroom with four auto shotguns. Once that position becomes compromised, head towards the corner by the desk and hold there.

Re: Survivor Dead Air - Terminal
I ended up with around a 11 minute mark by sitting on top of the van. A better team could do far better than mine, I'm sure.
edit: We had a bot for most of the round as well.

I would NOT recommend going to the bathroom. Not only is it dark, but you won't see the tanks coming until it may be too late.
Other than that, the reception desk and the van both work well. Me, Unload, Reaper and Sir Nerd got 12:14:00 staying in those areas. However at around ~9 min mark, Sir Nerd got killed and so it was just us 3 for the next 3 minutes. We probably could have done even better if Nerd lived. But it was still a good run nonetheless.

There is no such thing as "to late" with the auto-shotty.
After the 25% reduction in damage from the autoshotty vs. a tank, you can still do 216 damage/shot on the tank. That means inside of 7 total shots each from the 4 survivors the tank is dead. (that is assuming the 25% less damage from autoshotties on tanks is in effect in survival mode which I do not believe is in effect in survival mode, if the 25% less damage isnt in effect, it's 21 shots total)
If your teammates cant get off 6-7 accuriate shots with the shotty in the time it takes the tank to move 5 steps when he is within 30 feet of you, you probably need better teammates.

It funnels the Infected to one chokepoint and you're not exposed to the Boss Infected.

Re: Survivor Dead Air - Terminal
If you do right side escalator positioning you will funnel most infected to that player. Also, with 4 autoshotties, you should be able to down the tank from a cross fire position in the bathroom, the only problem being ammo since its very far.
A different strategy later is to utilize escalator (moving closer to the ammo and then pounding the tank as it runs up to you from the sides (2 each). The problem here is the occasionally horde comes from above the escalator.
One thing though, if you guys don't see the tank coming and are reloading, there will be problems (in the bathroom).

Re: Survivor Dead Air - Terminal
I hit 13 minutes on this one after hitting quick play survival. Mostly scrubs just standing around near the newspaper machines, 2 AR 2 Auto Shotty. No tactics whatsoever, but I guess the long sight lanes made it pretty easy.

My plan: take off, nuke the site from orbit. Only way to be sure.
