Left 4 Dead January 14th update caused issues

Ive had Left 4 Dead since it came out and was running perfect, the new update now causes my game to freeze and close completely. As soon as the game is about to start the camera zooms into a character the game freezes and closes and brings me back to my desktop. Ive updated my drivers and still nothing. I have an ATI all in wonder x600 series. Please can somebody help

i have the exact same problem and graphics card.

I get crash when I enter first person (right after the game cinematics when it zooms to your character and the game starts).

Valve is aware of this issue and is working on a fix. They are trying to get it fixed ASAP.

This has been now fixed btw. About 19 hours ago.

my consule wont except maps why i been trying to put ,map 14d_farm_of_death, can anyone help

You cannot run the maps you've tried to run via console command map 14d_farm_of_death ?

Well, when you put map 14 you should see the mapname under there aka you might want to check that you have the map name typed right.
