Connection problems and discos last 2 days?
I have had several connection problems while playing over the last 2 days that I never had before. I have seen a few people complain but nothing large scale. Anyone else? Don't know if it is a steam thing or me.

STEAM has been Crap today..and always seems to be around 1700 EST M-F.. This weekend I had no issues at all..
But Today..Disconnects and Lag.. The Steam Lobby system locks up or doesn't connect etc..|TG|ARMA Pathfinder
..now where did I put my keys?

I keep getting disconnected as well. Most times my whole computer locks up from it and nothing short of a hard reboot will bring it back.
I have not been able to finish a campaign without it happening in the last 2-3 days if not more.
I run vista 64 on a duo core processor. Best information I found on my symptoms was to try turning the affinity to only 1 cpu. I'll try that tonight and see if it helps.
I also noticed that l4d is running in *32 mode. Isn't the source engine suppose to support native 64 bit?

Well it worked for me. Tonight I played for a few hours and didn't crash once. I was able to finish my first complete campaign for the first time since last week.
I didn't feel any significant impacts on performance due to the change.
Its a good fix until they patch it.
