Crashes so many crashes :(

Since this new patch Ive been crashing alot, the large majority of crashes seem to happen when I die or when a scoreboard appears, Ive messed around with settings but still no change.

Anyone have any ideas?

Also I noticed that steam doesnt show my avatar it shows a pink square in place of it, but I know other people can see it.

I got a hard lock up on L4D tonight and got an nvidia error message, so i updated to latest nvidia driver

Not sure if this is an Nvidea thing looking at Silver's post, but I've had zero issues with the new patch. Might not be relevant, but I do use ATI.

I can't play for more than 15 minutes without my whole computer locking up. The game is causing me some WMI errors, evendID 10. Can't find anything on the web to help.

You might try updating graphics drivers. If that doesn't help, try clearing out other applications that run in the background.

Yeah, you are not the only one. Man, Nvidia has been taking a lot of HEAT recently because L4D just kills its cards. There are like a million threads on Nvidia issues with either the infinite loop, or display drivers stopped responding issue.
