    Bug reporter in L4D2

    I can't find the bug reporter in L4D2. I earned several achievements in the game and Steam registered them, but L4D2 didn't.

    Yeah multiple people had problems with that. Fehmart lost all but 3. I think it might have been a problem with the Steam Cloud sync the first couple of days

    Is anyone else having problems with incomplete installation (2)?? I can't seem to fix this problem. It ran fine yesterday morning, tried last night and i got this problem. Anyone know how to fix this?

    There has been an L4D update - did the update apply? Restart steam? Crash during update?

    Well from what i have read so far, the update is what has been causing errors with a lot of people. re-install does not fix the problem either.

    I sent an email to Steam support, I lost all of mine. We'll see if I get a reply. It's not a huge deal; they are just achievements, but the achievement hoarder in me wants them.

    I had that when I first launched L4D2.
    I fixed it by validating files for a minute, cancelling, and then trying to play L4D2. Worked for me.

    Apparently lots of people had this and some guys just kept trying to launch L4D2 and after some tries it just worked.


    The bug report is in the official L4D2 forums at steam. Just right click L4D2 in you my games list and you should see option to visit forums. There's stickied topic there for bug reports.

    If you run into this error after decrypting your game files, there are a few user suggested fixes that may help you.
    1. Restarting Steam after decrypting fixed this error for some.
    2. Simply navigating to "\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2" and running left4dead2.exe from there worked for others.
    Your mileage may vary.
    Try these.
