Anyone else love expert?
Honestly I think its the best mode now that I'm familiar with the game, but unattainable with normal pubbers. There is nothing more satisfying and fun than a well oiled team that moves together and doesn't leave anybody behind. Actually using "strategery" to place gas canisters and other defenses is a lot of fun.
Anybody else?

Can't imagine myself playing any other mode in a serious manner.

Re: Anyone else love expert?
Expert is the way to go. It's very difficult but playing on advanced is too easy.

Re: Anyone else love expert?
I've been going through the campaigns on advanced... finished dead air last night. At this setting, we've been doing about one story-line per night... takes 2.5-3hrs... longer for the first one (as we were coming up to speed on the game) and shorter for the later ones.
Once we do the final mission, I'm going to go back and do them on expert.... that and start playing versus a lot more regularly!

I can't say for sure. It depends on what kind of love you are talking about.

Re: Anyone else love expert?
only when im with 3 other TG members (not people on my friends list, but actual tag wearing TGers) do i do expert, its more of a 'bash my head against the wall' when im playin with steam friends i know from outside TG, lack of tactics, planning, strats, and communication turns a fun expert runthrough into a series of votes that somewhat resemble the following, each a few deaths apart
"vote to go advanced"
"vote to go normal"
"vote to go easy"
"vote to return to lobby"

Re: Anyone else love expert?
I would like to play expert more often but my friends can't do expert efficiently, I'm mostly stuck playing advanced. TG guys are never on when I'm wanting to play campaign expert either

Re: Anyone else love expert?
Expert is the most challenging and the funnest, but it does take a long time. That's why I usually opt for advanced. 1.5 hours in a row is enough for me for a one night, usually. Expert is much more exciting, though. There's nothing quite like playing through half the acts in black and white, scared that fly might drop you.

You yet have to see Dr.Beat playing L4D
.
@Topic: Well, I usually only play expert as well; I think that it's actually the point of the game to be scared of your enemies and to try to survive against all odds, knowing that it's likely that you're going to die a couple of times until you win the level. Also, it's much more satisfacting to beat a campaign on expert than to do so on advanced. I have to agree with Potshot though; campaigns on expert usually take quite some time to finish. But if you are really too frustrated with expert, just restart the campaign, switch to easy, and beat it without using medkits, getting incapacitated or using any other weapons than pistols; it's quite funny as well.

Re: Anyone else love expert?
Expert is more fun, but also more frustrating. If we're playing and have difficulty passing a section, either because we're not working well together, stupid mistakes, etc, we may vote it down to advanced, pass the section and then vote it back up. Ultimately, it's much more fun to progress through the levels rather than repeating a section ad nauseum.

Re: Anyone else love expert?
I agree with this... Playing the game on public servers with the 'casual' gamer, you never know what level of player you are going to get hooked up with, so Advanced is perfect and fun! If you are playing with people you actually know how to play the game, then Expert is very challenging and rewarding.
I also agree that after a while of not completing a certain level and going back time and time again, it can get a little repetitious to the point where you don't want to play any longer. At least in Advanced, even if your teammates are just 'learning', you can work your way through all of the levels in each movie.
