I've noticed that sometimes we'll be in a versus game on the server, but it will only fill to 4 players. Those four players are playing regular versus, but in the matchmaker it shows those players as in a full 4/4 coop game? Others are unable to join.
Anyone seen this before?

ahh i'll try that silver. I was trying to let the server just manage the player counts as some suggested elsewhere.
I think the problem we're having though is the server is automatically changing when people join via the server browser. I'm not sure why that is though. Apparently other servers don't have this problem.

Maybe I've missed something..
I log onto L4D.
I see the TG servers at the bottom.
I go there and see the servers listed. I click on a server that is 3/4 full. It jumps to joining and I join a game but
a) there may only be one person on it.
b) when I hit tab, it doesn't APPEAR to be our server...

I believe one of the TG servers (advanced difficulty) was spawning tanks with in the first few steps of every level, could just be a coincidence but it makes me wounder if there is a setting or just the evil director.

The tank spawn is random and that was correct even if its we think its cheesy
I would like to start a versus from a lobby but can't 
I think I need some kind of sv_key or sumtin.

Spar I heard you had a problem doing that last night, your not the only one with that problem.
I know right after you tried I did and was able to make a VS from lobby. Might I suggest you trying this.
If your going to or are planning to host a lobby and want to go to a direct server from lobby do this to the T.
Assuming you haven't opened open left 4 dead open it.
Open console and type sv_search tg303rd I have seen others say sv_search "" with the quotes but I do not use them, and I have sucess everytime I make lobby straight to my server.
After you have entered sv_search tg303rd close console and make your lobby.
On another note I have noticed others besides you spar that have tried to use the sv_search while in a lobby already and it did not work.
Now I have explained how I use sv_search and it works 100% of the time. This should also work for the TG server, I dont really care for the groups because I joined a group TG server that was already in a game. And its not like you can vote .
I'll be willing to sit down for a few with you if you want and walk you through steps. I to would like to find ever bug & error or mistakes that we make.

I would use the TG servers but I need the search key right or is it just the title?
And Tampa I think the qoutes is what is messing the sv up.FUN FUN

Are you using the quotes... sv_search "tg303rd" or are you trying with no quotes... sv_search tg303rd Originally Posted by sparhawkxx

Both We couldn't do the TG servers last night either. Had to just join and thats not what we want right now. But if we start a game on the servers just start looking to fill in is all I can say.

I showed captain jack last night and he was able to make a vs game from lobby to tg-303rd server. I think I know what your doing wrong but I need you to msg me on steam and I'll show you how to get this working.
