    these berries taste like burning

hahaha, just played versus for the first time since release-day, and wow... that was eye opening to say the least. (I've been slowly making my way through the campaigns with a couple friends)

Big thanks to experiment, arf, and aruncado for putting up with me and showing me the ropes... and to reaper, flipmode, kebab, and unload for handing me my ass on a platter You guys had some ridiculous teamwork... How did you do it? Did you have one person acting as leader planning and organizing everything?

At one point on harvest, we were walking along pretty tightly packed, thinking we were in good shape... and the next instant, all 4 of us were down - 3 simultaneous pounces and one smoker attack. Unbelievable.

Unload and I were leading the team together. there are some very set areas that are good for attacks and some not so good so we do our best to use every possible advantage because you really need it when playing infected.

    Key things:
quick realization of assets as infected (# of infected bosses, class of bosses, surroundings, special events)
lots of coordination to set attacks a close together as possible
not attacking one by one, although there are times where a lone attacker has a role such as slowing down the survivors but you have to work together or you just wont cut it against a better team.

That was good teamwork from us there.
What I saw you doing wrong was to pull back to the tunnels when you got horde. When you go back you give the infected more time to spawn in and you aren't progressing in the level. You also sat there quite a while before you got out of the tunnel - that gave us lots of time to plan our attack.
Also hunters should stick together and spawn together so if you see hunter getting to a place to spawn follow him and tell him that you are there - that's where we got to the point where we all punced on you guys and brought you all to the meat factory.

That was one of the best versus experiences I've had and I must say everyone played good.

EDIT: I'd also like to add that part here where we managed to get the whole survivor team down right after they left the saferoom at no mercys 2nd level. Only one guy was standing and we managed to kill off 2 players and get the last two (FatKid and Noir) to yellow and red. Teamwork all the way.
Tell who you are spawning as and tell what you are trying to do if there's no communication - that'll lead to it eventually. Hopefully the rest of the players are going to do the same and you can start planning attacks.

It was indeed fun! Like Reaper said, it still takes a bit of individual practice using the special infected. Once you have learned the strengths and weaknesses of hunters, smokers, tanks, and boomers, for instance, smokers will do little against survivors if attacking alone unless it is one lone survivor or the survivor has been separated from the group, you can start to piece together the most effective attacks. When all four infected are spawned in, there are two possible group make-ups; most common is 2 hunters 1 smoker 1 boomer, however, sometimes it will be 3 hunters and 1 smoker. Take advantage of 3 hunters and 1 smoker! You have the ability to render all four survivors helpless, all it takes is some communication! Most important is to establish communication (we all know this), and know the terrain, the advantages and disadvantages of attacking in a certain place. For instance, attacking with a smoker and a hunter only, when all four survivors are looking your direction and in a tight group would most likely be a terrible waste of special infected. It is also beneficial to find high ground as a hunter, as you can get up to 25 bonus damage for how far you pounce on a survivor. As survivor, always listen for those audio ques, and make sure, when you get boomed on, find the nearest friend or corner to help you out!

Last night we recognized that we had 3 hunters and 1 smoker, and within 5 seconds, we were almost ready to spring our evil plan into action. We waited for all the hunters and smoker to group up, then, a 1 2 3 count and GO! just after you all had cleared the small choke point was all we needed - It appeared you guys stopped moving for just a second, allowing us to land our pounces quite effectively - did you hear us? Or, did someone simply stop because that is an area that infected attack quite often?
