For all you guys that alt-tab a lot, this is essentially fullscreen mode with the responsiveness of alt-tabbing in a window. It's probably just me, be it seems to load the game up faster as well. Just add it to your L4D launch properties.-noborder
Now whenever you hit your kp_del button (or whatever you use) to check the ping graphs, it'll pop up with net_graph 1 to show your numeric ping. Much better than having it obscure the screen all game.Create autoexec.cfg in your steamapps\common\left 4 dead\left4dead\cfg folder. Then paste this in it:
net_graph 0
alias "+sb" "+showscores; net_graph 1"
alias "-sb" "-showscores; net_graph 0"
bind "kp_del" "+sb"
Disables the valve intro movie and goes straight to the L4D loading screen. Add it to launch properties.-novid

another one for when the inevitable automatic team switch due to slow loaders..
pull down console, and type "spectate"
That moves you off both teams and allows teams to be readjusted without kicking someone or leaving/rejoining.

These can help you get your connection better, although it takes a lot of testing to find a good combo. This also helps with hit detection and such.
Damnit Blizzard, fix ZvT already >.<

bind "MOUSE1" "+attack; vocalize PlayerLaugh"
That makes your character laugh everytime you shoot as survivors, and does nothing extra as infected. Louis and Zoey have the best laugh for this.
