Cool Re: Do you have a Zombie Plan?

I live in Akureyri, Iceland so if Ground-Zero is in any other country I'll be safe.

But if the outbreak would begin here the plan depends on what kind of infection or "zombie virus" we're talking about here.

If this is a Left 4 Dead style infection, an airborne virus that leaves only few people immune, my only hope would be to try and somehow make it to the dock (Akureyri is a harbor town). I don't know how to sail a ship so it would either have to be a ship with other survivors on it or a smaller vessel that I could use on my own. In the latter situation I guess I would sail a safe distance from land and observe the town for a short time while praying for a rescue. If I didn't get rescued before getting really hungry I would sail along the coast searching for houses close to the sea that I could scavenge for supplies.

However, if the outbreak is more like in most zombie films and the infection can only spread from the zombies themselves via blood or saliva, the plan goes like this:

If the outbreak starts in any town other than Reykjavík, the capital, drive there, build defenses and form zombie killing death squads to rid the country of infection.

If the outbreak starts in Reykjavík, drive to the second largest town in the country, Akureyri and do the same thing as before.

Haha, World War Z determines that Iceland is one of the worst infected places because people all try to escape there and bring the infection there.

Hide in the Bathroom, even when the tank comes. That's pretty much the entirety of my zombie plan.

It isn't. I think it's written on some poster in the game that it isn't airborne. It only infects you if it gets into your body.

Ah, well I guess that would mean more survivors and less zombies at Ground-Zero. Then all of the infected would probably end up as roadkill pretty quickly because freaking EVERYONE has a car here.

Dang. I sure hope that won't happen. If it did though I guess I'd flee to Greenland and maybe then to the North Pole :P.

Why would the cold kill a zombie? That's an awfully big assumption to make - what will you do if they don't die?? Perhaps the cold makes them stronger and faster - do you know? have you tested them

Mine will be to load up my cricket bat and a couple of mates, then grab some transport up to my holiday home in whales, remote and easily defenderble and then have high tea on the lawn. Once there if things turn really dire we will send word to Sean Bean to gather his chosen men and come to our aid haha.
In the meantime perhaps you could throw cucumber sandwhiches at them to keep them at bay

I assume that they wouldn't mutate too much. I mean, it just isn't logical that the zombies would become completely different from humans, since they originally were humans. And humans don't have good protection against the cold. I doubt they'd have the intelligence to put on some clothes, so they'd probably freeze.

Of course, I'm assuming that they are virus zombies. If they were the supernatural kind of zombies, I'd be screwed.
