Odd lobby issue
I have a very strange issue, when sitting in the lobby, I'd say 75% of the times that I attempt to use VoIP to talk to others in the lobby, L4D will lock up. In-game VoIP is fine and I have yet to lock up even once (knock on wood), it only happens in the lobbies. I can text chat without problems, it's only lobby VoIP.
I am currently running Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit and am current on all updates and hotfixes.
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 (2.4GHz)
HIS Radeon HD 4850 512MB
4Gb of RAM (dual channel)
Does anyone else have this problem? Any ideas?
Thanks!

Re: Odd lobby issue
I've experienced the same thing in the lobby, especially if i try to spam the voip. No problems ingame. This has to be a bug i think.
I have Vista 64 bit. E8400, 4870, 4 GB.

Re: Odd lobby issue
It's karma my fellow TGs. The lobby voice chat is like screaming in a wind tunnel. Use the text box and save our ears.

I've only had lockups when I was speaking and the game started. I don't remember what really happened but I remember that I shouldn't do it again.|TG| Kebab-Kastike reporting for duty. | Why? Tubes! The internet is tubes!

Re: Odd lobby issue
The voip in the lobby is peer to peer. In game it uses a client-server system.
I don't really see anyone using voip in the lobby anymore. I think everyone has figured out that its complete crap.

Re: Odd lobby issue
I noticed this lock up in XP as well. I wasn't even using VOIP but everyone else was at the time.
