In the begining of this I would say play this on expert versus. But now that we are learning more and more. If you go up agaisnt a real team your not making it to the safehouse.
Now if you want to speed the maps up well playing on advanced has a differant purpose. I like the 2 hour play though.

Agreed, my only problem with normal mode for vs. is all the damned medpacks the survivors can find, it kinda removes the ability of the infect to use attrition against the survivors. We had a scrim on no mercy a few nights back. I did not spawn as the tank or the boomer the entire map on no mercy 03 and I did not kill a single survivor. I had 4 incaps of survivors, and did
1144 DAMAGE. It looked to us as that survivors found 8 medpacks along the course of the map. That's 640 bonus permenant health bonus to them and means unless you get the lucky spawn of 3 hunters and a smoker (which we never did mind you)to have a chance to finish all 4 at once you are going to have to do enough damage to each survivor to incap him/her 3 times! Thankfully we got our first tank of the level as they were exiting the sewers and he promptly played the role of a valet and parked a car on them. Replace the medpacks with pills and we're set.
The pletoria of medpacks the game sometimes gives the survivors means as infected you have to sit around and wait for that lucky 3 hunter 1 smoker spawn and it marginalizes everything else you can do without that lucky spawn or the tank. Imagine playing no mercy on normal where other then the starting 4 medpacks, map 01 had zero extra medpacks, map 02 had 1, map 03 had 2, map 04 had 1, and map 5 had zero. You could actually wear them down and kill them.
