Re: L4D wish list
a) I would like some equality to some extent - meaning if one team gets a tank in the first few seconds, so should the other team. It really sucks when your team gets owned early, but the other teams has enough time to get the good weapons and molotovs. If one team gets 8 med packs, the other team too. Maybe not in the same exact place (because that favors the 2nd to go) but at least some parity. I remember once we never found a medpac, but the other team managed to pick up 6. And we had been looking for them LOL
b) better smokers - not sure what - emitting smoke (like originally planed),
c) more campaigns, yah. I'm not sure if the makers will work too hard on this, or just wait for players to create them.
d) I agree with Morganan - no reloading while meleeing. If you stop meleeing, the reload could continue, but if you never stop meleeing, you wouldn't be putting ammo in.
e) I agree with Morganan's scoring overhaul. This would possibly help with a) above.
f) I agree - fix all other bugs before adding new ones.
g) merit/demerit system - I sort of like it. I'm always a little worried about a demerit system - it could be abused depending on how it is implemented. I remember we were playing a movie. We loose a player. New guy comes in and asks for us to start completely over. We were on part 3. We said no, we wanted to finish. He team kills ALL of us. then asks again. keeps repeating the process until we were able to vote him off. That's a good reason for a demerit. But I've also gotten on a server and started trying to get them to work together instead of fighting for the front. They voted me off for trying to get them to work together. That's a bad case wehre I could have gotten voted a demerit."Sympathy means a lot, coming from Kulmar. I didn't think it was possible.
Good luck getting rid of your disease. If you're infected, though, stay away--I can't afford to be a zombie right now.

Be cool to have a ranking system of some sorts. Like Maybe not army ranks. But stuff like whitey for not seeing much combat going up to something that you have seen a lot of combat with stuff inbetween. That way you are working towards something as well as fun and acheivments.

Re: L4D wish list
I don't play L4D, but if it had a chainsaw it would be up to 80% more awesome (as research has shown)! The red petrol cans should refuel it, so that it can't be used all the time.

Re: L4D wish list
Adding on the chainsaw and stuff, you should be able to pick up lumber and stuff off the ground to use. Like you see a peice of 2x4, you should be able to pick it up like it is a gas can or the other objects that explode, and by pressing melee, you wack people with it. And you can then throw it a short distance or whatever. Same with a baseball bat or a chainsaw. And a lawn mower would just be awesome =P

Re: L4D wish list
Smoker needs slight bump for sure. When the tongue "catches" it should jerk the survivor a few feet and do a few points of damage.
Auto shotties shouldn't have infinite zombie penetration.
I'd like to see survivors have more options for healing, maybe give them the ability to do improvised field dressings on others for +5 points or so for more strategerizing play. Do you stop and heal real quick so everyone can keep up, or do you keep running? Do you hunker down to heal everyone and give infected the time for an ambush? Right now the medpack use doesn't require much strategy. If your health is lower than X then stop and heal.|TG-12th| fallen

Re: L4D wish list
Ya, like i know it may sound stupid, but you should be able to hold it down for a little bit, and it will take away from its overall heal, but it will take longer overall. So if you hold it down for a second, you will get a second's worth of healing. And if you hold it for the longest it can, you get that much. But if you do hold it down for a second and lets say the full one is 10 seconds, next time you heal, it will only take 9 seconds for full. That way you can kinda heal on the go, but it will still slow you.

Re: L4D wish list
You do hear!
If you play versus and go far away from the survivors you hear their distant gun shot sounds from the direction of the survivors - if they are shooting.
Also I heard in Blood Harvest finale while waiting for survivors to get out of the saferoom the ambient track of the map. There was screams and yes - distant gunfire.
Anyway:
1) More campaigns.
2) Official releases of Death Air and Death Toll versus versions
3) MORE WEAPONS!

Re: L4D wish list
Alternate 'sticky' mode for pipebombs so you could stick it to stuff. Stick to a wall, fellow survivors (*sticky* OH GOD! Hey dude go run and make a diversion!!!), stick on a tank, stick on any physics object etc...
Cool.

Re: L4D wish list
Booming all 4 in VS mode should immediately start a single "super rush" similar to what happens at the end of levels, etc.
A time bonus - something to force people to risk rushing it and getting sloppy in order to make up a score deficit. Maybe you win quickly and score big, or maybe you get too far apart and pay the price.
Nerf the freaking melee. I'm so sick of every rush being "go to a corner and hold right click". It prevents pouncing (unless you can land from above) and it prevents a smoker grabbing one
After a significant enough pounce damage (25ish?) count it as an immediate knock down. Falling 7 stories on someone and them just walking away with a bruise isn't flying with me.
Identical tank timing. They do this with weapons. It's crap when one team gets a tank and the other doesn't. It's also crap when one gets one at the very end when the other got it at the very beginning. I know it takes away the surprise factor and allows the 2nd team to anticipate his arrival better than the first did, but at the very least make sure that if one team gets one the other does too.ORGANBiTER | $_COOKIE['monster'] | UBiQ

Re: L4D wish list
Booming all 4 = bigger rush. I'd like to see that!
Time bonus - I don't endorse anything that might lead to rushing or speed running since both styles should be valid without any outside incentives.
Instant pounce incap - Too overpowered for good hunters. Since the hunters just got buffed, we need to see how new hunters adapt with their greater damage output now before thinking about this.
Identical tank timing - patch did this. Woot.

Re: L4D wish list
Identical tank spawning sucks.Next round players are prepared for when tank is about to spawn. That really needs to change. It could spawn in a different location or something.I liked it better when u dont know where they are going to spawn.
