not my idea but I like the sound of it.

the smoker deploys his tongue and wraps a survivor and does a hard pull for a short distance causing an initial amount of damage and then continues to pull at the regular speed of slow. This makes the smoker more useful at separating survivors without getting spammed off so quickly.

A short period of time after a survivor has been in a place where infected couldn't spawn. IE no going into a room, checking for meds, walking out and having a boomer sprint out of the door you JUST walked out of and vomit all over you.

The sewer in front of no mercy hospital, the players having a way of clearing the street above to prevent people from say... standing at the top with a boomer and vomiting on people trying to come up over and over (and over and over and over...) until eventually the survivors run out of ammo and die.

Acid spit, or something of the like, to clear survivors out from under ramps or in closets and such.

Endorse advanced level versus and stop trying (and failing) to patch it. Also allow a search option in lobby for versus difficulty.

Weapons. More and more weapons.

Improvised weapons as well... and of course an AK-47 or AK-74 (in their many varieties), and maybe an M4.

They could also correct the M16A3 to make it look right (considering it shows it as an M16A2, and the A2 doesn't fire full auto).

Maybe also some advanced blood effects for the decals. Like dripping blood decals, brain splatter decals, etc...

Keys, so you need to find them to open locked doors. Random key placement, like random zombie placement, would help.

More guns. An advanced pistol, so there is the normal one, but you can find the advanced one. So it does more damage and holds more bullets maybe.

Also, better blood on the people. It seems that they'll get blood in all these weird places.

A king/super "boss" zombie =P

A level where you are in a jeep or something driving away and all these fast infected are chasing you. Kinda like the last lvl in cod4 where you are driving away.

A button that switches from your prim and secondary. Like it is on the Xbox. I hate how its 1 and 2. Kinda annoying

Melee weapon slot.

More grenade/inventory like weapons.

So ya lol. Kinda random stuff that might make it kinda more enjoyable/fun lol. But it is still a great game as it is.

1 - Crowbar. No good without one.

2 - At least 2-3 new Campaigns. I know it's asking for a lot, but the four get old pretty fast. It'd be nice to see something different.

3 - Parts in the Campaign that forcibly split up the party into two or even 1 man groups. Scare the crap out of them, to make them feel they need the rest of the team.

4 - Other people. Not just your rescuers and Mr. 'Ding-Dong!'. It would be cool to at least see them sometime. Maybe from afar? But not seeing them dying and not being able to do anything about it, that would suck.

Edit:5 - I want our voices to sound like they're coming from the characters ingame. Like it being hard to hear someone that's far away, or voice playing in the left ear when the person is to your left ingame, and vice-versa.

Thought up a new one. Some sort of system of magnets, or a giant collar around the gun barrel or SOMETHING to stop DrBeat from capping us with the autoshotty

More weapons (better weapon skins).

Ability to pickup melee weapons like pipes, 2/4s and wrenches (much like the game condemed).

Hurry up with some good versus maps!

I second more people. It would be pretty awesome to at least hear some gunshots or a horde or something from far away. Or for example, in blood harvest or death toll, you'd see a car zoom by with a bunch of infected behind it, and then see the car crash, killing everyone. Then you'd have to fight a horde or something, and the best spot to fight them off would be by the car, and you could hear the driver pleading for something before dying.

1) The smokers tongue to work correctly, I'm tired of the misfires 70% of the time when there are multiple targets in range and LoS.

2) Some instant damage when the smoker grabs a target. This can be done similarly to how the hunters pounce damage works, short ranges=no damage, longer ranges=more damage. Cap out the instant damage from the tongue attack at say 10 at max range.

3) The cloud the smoker emits when dead, disables the survivors from using their melee attacks for 4 or 5 seconds due to covering their faces from the smoke. The tongue when broken also exudes this smoke, but in much smaller portions. (Say it only disables melee for 2 seconds to any survivor in it's aura)

4) Remove the ability to reload while meleeing. This in conjunction with the anti-melee properties of the smokers "cloud" would add a new and welcome layer of teamwork to the game.

5) Make the tanks punch an cone aoe type attack. Currently the far and away best way to deal with a tank when he doesnt have props to knock around is for the survivors to stack up on top of each other and just hose the tank down. Each punch will only hit 1 target, leaving 3 to do point blank damage which especially with auto-shotties tears him apart quickly.

6) Rebalance the weapons so there are choices to use, especially for vs. mode. Currently due to weapon damage tables there is zero point in taking any weapon other then the auto-shotty in a vs. game. I'd like all 3 weapons to be usefull in vs. mode.

7) All the current bug's/exploits fixed before they add new weapons/special infected.

8) The AID given special instructions for vs. mode spawning of pick up items. I'm tired of seeing the survivors get 6+ medpacks/pills each per level, it kind of removes the ability of the infected to use attrition as a tactic against the survivors.

9) The scoring system given a big overhaul. The current system doesn't take into account tanks, witches and the amount of random infected just standing around. My team doesnt have to face a tank, and your team does, yet both teams get the same "difficulty modifier" at the end of the level? Your team gets 8 medpacks, my team gets 4, and we both had the same difficulty on completing the map? Give me a break.

10) The "kill" console command being disabled for this game, all it does is cause griefing, there is no point in having it.

11) The merit/demerit system being brought back in some form. I don't want to punish people for leaving for real life stuff, but when your real life stuff miraculously occurs after you got done playing as infected, or right after you get owned as a tank while doing no damage to the survivors I'm calling BS on your supposed "real life issues". Give a grace period every map change (not to be confused with side change mind you) where people can leave with no demerit.

What I don't want to see...

1) New weapons unless they are just basically skin/sound replacements for the current ones that work off the same damage tables as the old weapons until all the bug's are fixed. Adding more things to balance when you dont have the current balance as close to perfect as possible is a huge mistake.

2) No pure melee weapons at all. This is best left to a mod. I can see it now, I load into a server and see 2 of my teammates ignore their gun to pick up chain-saws, and another picking up a sword instead of a gun. The infected are supposed to be the "melee masters", not the survivors. The concept of the game is you are escaping to safety, what idiot chooses a chain saw over a gun? If they do add melee-only weapons, make the survivors choose to either have a melee weapon or a main weapon, so these imbeciles are easily spotted and removed from the server.

I don't know, SystemShock 2 used this beautifully. On the other hand, the two games do have distinctly different atmospheres...

Or make it what their original concept was: that meleeing would interrupt the reload but it would be held at the point that you'd gotten to while reloading. That is, for the pistols, if you ejected the magazine and then melee'd, when you continued reloading the magazine would still be ejected. Unfortunately, I think this would make the autoshotgun even more powerful than it currently is, because right now, if you removed reload-while-melee, you'd get a nicer balance among the t2 weapons: a fast-firing, fast-reloading, ammo-guzzling machine gun, a long-range, accurate, medium-reload weapon, and the most powerful gun with a very long reload.

Finally, the last thing I'd like to see is a bit more balance between the weapons.
