Re: New patch, epic fail :\
For the scoring thing, yeah it could be better. But since the patch didnt change anything, Ill leave the changes up to Valve to consider.
For Smokers, they made it harder to grab, to "balance" the 9~ average damage you can do per actual pull. Thats ok, since for me, the red lockon means it will hit the target. I haven't missed yet with a red target unless the tongue never reached the target in the first place. Definitely noticed the change, but since gotten used to it.
Hunters however have become more powerful in my opinion. Not only do I have little trouble (or none) pouncing someone at any direction close range, it is easier to guarentee pouncing damage for the extra umph. Since people have not increased their reaction time to hunters, its easy to get 2+ hits in as a hunter and deal a lot of damage pouncing. This makes pouncing > swiping because of the zero delay for hits once pounced. Swiping is still good for hit and runs, but the high risk of getting melee crushed makes it less forgiving than a good hunter pounce (15 pounce damage + 2 hits for 25% health removal per spawn).
As for melee attacks dealing 65 damage, I don't think its changed at all, and that I have always thought melee attacks deal 0 damage. Its just that there is variables that kill zombies and infected based on consecutive melee hits and cumulative melee hits. For example, four quick hits against no objects will kill any special infected. But if there are pauses between those hits, then it can take more than 4. Also meleeing infected against targets sometimes don't register because they do not stagger properly (see zombies that get melee'd 50 times before getting shot).

Anyone else finding tanks appearing without warning music? It's happening about half the time for me, and usually when I'm in the middle of fighting off a horde rush.

well horde music or boomer music will overlap tank music and block it out sometimes.

I hate the witch that you don't see, until it attacks someone in your group. Last night, there was one in Dead Air behind some bags of concrete and we didn't see it until it attacked the guy next to me. I saw her just out of the corner of my eye before she attacked but it was too late.

I believe the base swipe damage was 10 prior to patch..now it's down 40% (Heh..ok..4.. but it sounds better in percentage!)... The Swipe was sign of a good hunter. Get in close in the dark and swipe away.. Lot of Show offs on the Huge 25 point drops.. but getting blown off right away was not as good as the hidden three swipe Meelee.>! (Paybacks a Bitch.!!)

I have yet to notice any easier to pounce past meleeing.

Good luck getting rid of your disease. If you're infected, though, stay away--I can't afford to be a zombie right now.

Re: New patch, epic fail :\
A bigger notice I see is that pouncing is now preferred because of the reduced delay before swiping.
Before, two swipes before dying = normal/good. That was 20 damage.
Now, two swipes before dying = 12 damage, which is more difficult than pouncing for 1-5 damage, and dealing 1-2 swipes after the pounce. With some timing, this is almost guaranteed now, even if you hit a group close up.
