First L4D video
Hi all
Here is my first L4D video, and indeed my first ever video for any game:
youtube.com/watch?v=tAMJeoUTohY
Please let me know what you think.
Also - does anyone know how to make fraps record both my voice and the ingame sounds / team mates voices? Because at the moment when I turn it on, no one can hear me and when I play back videos's, I can hear people but not myself.

Ah ha, nice track selection choice! Red Alert's got a bunch of good ones.
I like the special effects and the feel for the movie.

Really good video!
Let me share my own L4D video I made back in the demo days:

Re: First L4D video
Wow, thankyou so much for the replies. I've always wanted to make a gaming video, and since I love L4D it seemed like the right time to do it.
Exploding_Silver - I certainly intend to try that, thanks
*edit* I tried that but unfortunately, the selection box for the microphone keeps muting itself. I tick to unmute it, and within a few seconds its muted itself again.

Re: First L4D video
under what conditions is it muting itself again and how do you know
are you watching it and doing nothing and it just mutes in front of your eyes
or are you alt-tabbing back into the game and tapping the mic to test for feedback
hhmmmm I suggest running the game and getting into the map and then alt-tabbing, in my experience with 2142 and ETQW, it was part of loading the map that muted the mic

Re: First L4D video
I suggest you
load fraps
load L4D
load a map
alt tab
unmute mic
tap on mic to test its unmuted (tap-test)
alt tab back into game
tap-test
record
edit
publish on youtube

Do you happen to have X-Fi? That soundcard just loves to change the settings for you when you aren't looking.
