Lazz i think its 15 posts and then you can put your own hyperlinks in
EDIT
nice video
I think the fast cut style is good for the mood of a game like L4D
how is your recording your own voice now, have you worked out how to do it ?
for your next one, put the TG name on it

Re: Left 4 Dead - Totally Infected
Nice...
I've wanted to do this kind of thing some..
what program do you use to record? Fraps?
then what do you use to edit? after you record in fraps, can you just use the windows movie maker or something? can you cut it up, etc?"Sympathy means a lot, coming from Kulmar. I didn't think it was possible.
Good luck getting rid of your disease. If you're infected, though, stay away--I can't afford to be a zombie right now.

Re: Left 4 Dead - Totally Infected
Amazing video, editing, and gameplay. I especially liked how as the music speeds up, so does the gameplay footage and transitions.
I would recommend using the "record" function in console during games, then record what you want out of that later. The built in recorder is amazing, it keeps full quality, uses pretty much 0 extra CPU, and is unbelievably compact; a full versus game might be just over 50mb. Trust me on this one; record always, then record the recording later if you want.
Then I would recommend going in with WeGame or Fraps, depending on preference, and recording directly from the demo you just recorded.Code:record [filename] stop playdemo [filename]
Editing with Windows Movie Maker works pretty well. It's both simple and functional.Last edited by Transcendant; 01-22-2009 at 06:41 PM. Reason: emphasize small file size

Re: Left 4 Dead - Totally Infected
lol... I've recorded a lot in Counterstrike. I usually do
record 20090123A
That's the date with an A after it. if I ever did do more than 26 (unlikely) I could start doing Za, Zb, etc just to keep them in order."Sympathy means a lot, coming from Kulmar. I didn't think it was possible.

Re: Left 4 Dead - Totally Infected
Hi
First off, thankyou for all the kind comments
I use fraps to record and to edit I use 'Corel Video Studio' because its so simple to use yet theres so many possibilities.
The recording of my own voice is going terribly! I dont know what is up with fraps but now Im even worried to have it turned on (even without recording) because a few times my friends have said that they couldn't hear me on the microphone. This hasn't happened with fraps off. It is annoying considering Im missing out on some great shots. The other day for instance, a friend of mine was a hunter and did a reverse wall jump all the way to the top of a building in the apartments map, only to jump off, fly across the map and land for a 25 damage pounce - and I was standing on the opposite roof while it happened! What an opportunity.
I think my sound card is a bit messed up though. It is about 5 or 6 years old and when I try to get the latest drivers they claim they can't even detect my card. But that problem will be solved soon since a few days ago I ordered a soundblaster x-fi extreme which should arrive soon so we will see how well fraps gets on with that.
Im also hoping, when fraps works with my microphone of course, to record full matches and upload them to youtube just to show how fun the game is and how teamwork and communication greatly increases your chances of being sucesfull.

Who was the last guy talking in there? He sounded like me but I don't remember playing with you.
And, I have X-Fi and... well let's say that your problems won't be over. :S|TG| Kebab-Kastike reporting for duty. | Why? Tubes! The internet is tubes!

Re: Left 4 Dead - Totally Infected
The guy who says "nice, and go for the last one" is 'special.k' who is a regular player.
Your right - I have the X-Fi and it cant record 'what u hear' and 'mic' at the same time and my problem with my team mates not hearing me sometimes when fraps is on (and certainly not when its recording) doesn't help either.
